The best hopes we've got right now are the fact that NBC took Parks and Rec off the air for a while, and that Sony pushed 'Til Death into syndication despite it having lower ratings than Community does now.

….yeah, fuck it. I've got class in six hours, I'm going to bed. Y'all have fun.

Seriously, did Todd just have a breakdown or something? This is ridiculous.

Todd! TODD! WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN US?! WH-H-H-H-HY?!?! *ahuh*

Ah, that makes sense. It looked weird sitting on it's own.

Just…just the one then?

Was it really so alienating? I loved it, but if you'd asked me to pick an episode to show to people new to the show, and I had to pick from the season 3 episodes, this seems like it would have been a good one. I mean, they had little chyrons telling everyone's name and data, for fuck's sake, and it was filmed

Republican Party Reservation Compound really needs to be a real thing. If only because I want there to be a need for it.

How is nobody discussing the Halloween play? That was a brilliant cutaway.

Yeah, that's gonna be great. I'm definitely a lyrics guy - if you haven't heard them, another good British indie band for lyrics is The Indelicates. Really bitterly sarcastic stuff.

I'm really starting to love this show. It's interesting - it's absolutely inessential, and I doubt I'd miss it too much if it went away, but the last couple episodes have solidified it as my favorite new show of the season. It's just a fun show to watch and hang out with the characters for 30 minutes, and sometimes I

Yeah, Nick was already my least favorite character, but I started actively hating him this week. Didn't make me downgrade the episode too much, though - this is rapidly turning into a show I look forwards to every week. Never saw that coming.

Jeezus. That may be the most uncomfortable interview ever conducted.

Hey, nothing wrong with fanaticism. I've intentionally not watched the show for about a year, but there was a point where I literally finished Angel season 5, popped out the disc, and put in the Buffy season 1 disc to start all over. It's my comfort show, and it makes me so happy that I have a place to talk about it

And after that, it's all over…

Yeah, the first half or so has some rough episodes - I think I'm the only person who absolutely hates "Numero Cinco," and "Life of the Party" is pretty rough. Once everything kicks in though, it's only competing with season 2 as Angel's best season.

That's interesting, because I tend towards the exact opposite opinion. I think Buffy is much better at storytelling, as evidenced by its strong individual episodes, and Angel is better at thematic work. Look at the the speeches in "Reprise" or

Ooh, thanks for the link! I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the Mikejer reviews, solid critical analysis from what I recall and he's rewriting the early stuff. Really helped me to start thinking critically about the TV I watch.

It's interesting - the season 8 comics were actually my Buffy gateway, so I have a lot of nostalgia for them. And I really think they started off well - the first arc was good enough to keep me reading, and BKV's faith arc and Racist Dracula were both pretty great. After that… well, it just kind of nosedived. Season 9
