Season 6: unpopular opinion, but I love this one a lot more than the high school years. There are bad episodes ("Wrecked," "Doublemeat Palace) but the character arcs are stronger here than anywhere else, and I still love the idea of Buffy being called down from heaven. Plus, musical!

Yeah, thanks for these reviews, Noel. I've been lurking around these parts since the Dollhouse reviews during my super-Whedon phase, and these reviews helped keep me around the site. I wish I'd registered soon enough to take more part in the discussions, but I've loved reading along in silence. Thanks a lot.

Yeah, I gotta agree; my top five is probably Buffy, Angel, Breaking Bad, AD, and Community (although I haven't watched a LOT of shows, including the Wire, so this is kinda biased). It reminds me of Doctor Who in the fact that it's a genre show that can twist itself to tell any kind of story, but the characters are so

You really need to try and hunt down the rest of the run (legally or otherwise). The series really takes a turn after the SAS arc into some much more serious stuff, and "Katie," "For Tomorrow," and "The Old Dog" are goddamned masterworks.

*crickets*

God, I love Hitman. It may be the best of Ennis' series/runs, and that's saying a lot for a guy that I consider one of the best writers in comics. Ringo Chen's last stand, Zombie night at the Gotham aquarium, Closing Time… damn, I need to go re-read Hitman now.

Anyone get the feeling that this interview was a little… I don't know, tossed-off? Azzarello is a great writer, but he didn't seem to give any thought to his answers besides the Spaceman discussion. I've never read any other interviews with him - Is this normal? Or am I just seeing something that isn't there?

You are correct, sir. Admittedly, I was hoping that this would end up a little higher on the page…

OK, so rewatching the episode, I see that Shirley started the argument about Annie living with the guys. My bad. I still maintain that Britta took it way too far when it seemed like Shirley was ready to stop the conversation.

Yuuuuuuuup. Although I'd rather have Pudi, which probably says something weird about my sexual preferences.

In this episode, though, Britta was being the shrill one. From the parts of the conversation that we saw, Shirley didn't seem to want to have the conversation at all, and Britta was being the annoying atheist that everyone hates (for the record, I'm agnostic, but preachy atheists are at least as annoying as preachy

Yeah, Annie's pretty much exactly in the middle of the character scale for me, (above Shirley, Pierce, and maybe Jeff, and below Abed, Troy, and Britta) but this episode is one of my favorite ever for her. She's growing up, she's loosening up, and she's taking responsibility rather than just acting childish to get her

Yeah, i really like how angry Troy got when Annie accused him and Abed of being children. His arc is really starting to shape up this season. And Abed was just completely nonplussed.

OH THANK GOD.

I missed teepees!

Yeah, but the joke was on Schmidt, not India. This isn't Outsourced. He was just being a dumbfuck.

Yeah, I was a LOT less creeped out by Jess in this episode. Honestly, I think Erik might have gotten a little too hung up on the will they/won't they stuff and missed the fact that Jess was actually a human being in this episode.

That whole India list was pretty fantastic. But I'm a sucker for list-based comedy.

Waay to late for this, but that's from Y: The Last Man. Good quote.

Oh, wow, you're right. I forgot Pierce had been going to the school forever. Anyone think Pierce will actually make it to the end of the show? I could definitely see some kind of funeral episode.
