I am 100% certain that, after his first season of Survivor, he's actually getting laid left and right and is just milking the self-deprecating, poor-me image to keep his prospects open.

Ugh… totally.  That whole theme - from song to graphics is completely trite and uninspired, especially when you consider how well it *could* be done for that show.

In my house, whoever has the remote is tasked with being super quick about hitting fast forward between the cold open and the rest of the episode to avoid listening to the theme.  If you fail at this task, you get the cold death stare.

Spot on about the judging issue as it relates to teams.  You can't fault somebody for letting their teammate *do* something and then fault their partner if they don't stick to their guns and achieve their vision.  It's an inherently flawed equation.

Richard was SO weird this week!  I've never seen so little of his personality.  Looked like a lost fart in a blizzard.

I thought it was so funny when Heidi and Nina were talking about how full of herself Layana is.  If they can see that with the small glimpses they get of her personality, it must be even more glaring in person.

eeeeeeeeeeeee… i totally forgot about the fabric hoarding!  ughhhhhhh

Layana is the WORST.  First of all, total crocodile tears.  I don't believe a minute of it.  She's the kind of girl who is used to turning on the tears to get whatever kind of attention she wants at that moment.  But most of all, she was such a bitch about taking credit for Daniel's look.  Unless the edit was

When Mr. Sundaynightaddict had to ask me why I thought Reynold was douchey, I told him that probably means he's a douche, too.

I'm pretty sure you don't need to put Jeff in quotations.

I'm not sure it would have been backlash, but I think without the story/narrative of being "that guy" (coupled with his looks), Colby probably wouldn't have gotten his foot in the door for those acting/endorsement gigs.

+1 to everything you said, in a way funnier manner than I ever could have.  thanks :)

Daniel just isn't that creative IMO.  He is (usually) good at construction and at making very wearable, pretty clothes for a certain audience (ladies who lunch, perhaps).  I just think he's out of his league when it comes to the creativity needed to win this competition.  This week was such a disaster, though,

I'm so glad I'm not the only person who doesn't like Stanley.  He seems like a totally dictatorial asshat (and I HATE that he was making me feel bad for Patricia, who I don't really like either).  And his dress was SO unimpressive.  It was well constructed and a pretty color but SO generic.  As the numbers get lower

agreed. i think they specifically went easy on him during the judging because otherwise there would be no way for michelle to get the deserved win.

There are so many great moments like that throughout this show.  Emily's quiet but heart-wrenching reactions every time something happens that makes her realize how much she has missed in her daughter's life.  GG does a good job at showing that it's not so clear-cut where the blame should sit for this broken

Start watching Banshee.  I have a pretty strong inkling she's going to play a much bigger part in season two if it gets renewed.

This whole storyline really is borrowing heavily from GWH lol.  I'm ok with that, though, since that movie rocks and is worthy of a little imitation now and again :)

"I have to hand it to Dunham for writing the girl characters
realistically and showing how they manipulate and treat men like shit
while they act as victims."

See, this is what I think too… I think Brandon isn't as much seriously mentally ill as he is an attention hog.  Both he and Phillip are a little bit cray cray, but I think Brandon's is mostly an attention ploy.
