The ending is pretty silly.  The super army from space?  Some dudes on hover-boards and big dragon things that are such a super army that they decide to attack through a wormhole-style bottleneck.  Great strategy, that.

I figured the script was more like:

I know that it's like Charlie Chaplin's hat, only much smaller.

There was a player for the Norwegian national hockey team at the 2010 Winter Olympics whose name was Thor Vikingstad.

I thought that might be the case, but I looked on wikipedia back when I posted this and it seems that the Hummers were marketed to civilians around that time, or maybe a year or two before.  (Not that he still couldn't have bought a Humvee a few years before, though.)

We can't ignore the resemblance to Knight Rider's KITT, if mostly graphical (red line vs. HAL's red dot) and in name (K.I.L.I.T.).  Most of the rest of it, though, is more HAL9000 and SkyNet (I agree with Alasdair that the building had a very Cyberdyne HQ feel).

I thought the weirdest thing about the Death by Vinyl bit was that it was shot at such velocity that it went through him on the z plane.
