The guy has directed only six movies, and you've already seen one of them.  My recommendation is to watch the other five - because at least 20 people each are likely to vociferously argue that one of those five films is the most amazing film ever made.

I only clicked on this because it said Cincinnati.  Go Reds!

I hope others have done this, but I still think that Hefner's "The Day That Thatcher Dies" (which incorporates the Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead! bit in the outro) is the best song about, well, the day that Thatcher dies.

Six deaths and a movie!

Kent.  Keeeent.  This is God, Kent.

@avclub-cfe912f5cb3aa572bd1c9ae2a9b82207:disqus "What was the name of the book given to Jake Gyllenhaal's character by his teacher" or something like that.  None of us had seen that movie more than once or in over a decade, so we didn't beat ourselves up over not remembering it.

Ditto, last week.  It was pretty easy, we just had to name the movie based on a short summary of the plot (it was Faster, Pussycat).  It was in a round based around "cult movies".  We got 9 out of 10 right (missed a Donnie Darko question), but I got us an extra point by being able to write, from memory, the entire

Holy shit - deal breaker!  I'm very fond of Dinner Dog.

Man SMART!

@avclub-022199896b1f52952c180b60caa681bd:disqus Uh, I meant "one-shot from the early seasons", not "early Season 1 shot", in case that's what you thought.  And I was being sarcastic, because Carl (of Lenny and Carl) has been a relatively steady character throughout the show.

Besides Disgruntled Goat, my favorite Simpsons-universe fictional secondary characters are: Rich Uncle Skeleton and Big Shirtless Ron.

Don't praise the machine.

Man smart!

Yeah, haha, Carl, that early season one-shot …?

@SisterMaryFrancis:disqus "And is there a character we can make aggressively homosexual? Because HAHAHAH"

The first two combined made me think FUCK NO (Patton isn't entirely without merit but I stopped caring about Star Wars toys when I was 8 years old as any non-asshole should).  The only reason I reluctantly clicked on this link was because of Russ Meyer.

@avclub-92cc227532d17e56e07902b254dfad10:disqus Look, man - it's Bill Callahan.  The lyrics are bound to be vaguely creepy or depressing at the very least.  That is a given.

Just go pick up another recently released Criterion title, Heaven's Gate, and I think you'll be content (and she wasn't 50 then!)

@EvelKareebel:disqus What?!  I will not sit here and let "Goal! The Dream Begins" be maligned!

Charlie Sheen is also a noted Reds fan, a pain I have to live with every day.
