I don't have my hopes raised or lowered.  It's hard to expect these episodes to be great, but I'd love to be surprised.  If they're good, sweet!  If they're bad, oh well, it's just a TV show.

My first intro to him was as the host of Short Attention Span Theater.  I remember thinking that he wasn't that funny.

I've only seen him live once (about 3 or so years ago) and he definitely came off as having an elitist streak and was not the most directly engaging stage presence I've seen.

Just take it one day at a time, and know that David Crosby loves you.

You know why I stopped reading the details on every AD-related update years ago?  Because it was a waste of time getting worked up about every little bit of half-formed information or speculation about what might or might not be happening with the upcoming AD project(s).  "Jason Bateman says something!"  "Mitch

I've generally avoided reading these AD-related updates for years now (only cared when it was officially announced something would be happening), so I'm amazed to see that fans still actually care about an AD movie.

It's like my six year old niece says, "You know how I know it's spring?  I can feel that summer breeze."

WHERE ARE THE SWAMP PEOPLE

You might be kidding, but Assy McGee was really good.

No, that's not the reason - just like how you didn't need to see the original Space Ghost cartoon to get 99% of the humor on SGC2C (not knowing that Jan, Jace and Blip were his sidekicks on the original show is about the only thing that might detract from enjoying about 3 jokes during the show's run)

Barre chords are just power chords with a few more fingers, fellas.

The melody is too similar to Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime" for me to take it very seriously.

I missed them about a month ago, but more because I've just given up on their latest material (never bought the last album, barely listened to False Priest, and didn't like most of Skeletal Lamping).  I'm just afraid that I'll go and it'll be so much stuff from recent albums that it won't be worth it to hear the few

Don't forget his big cock!

TCM is doing a tribute to Roberto this month, so this is just the first Friday night of several in March that will packed with his movies.  Flowers of St. Francis will be airing on the 22nd, for those interested in seeing it.

@avclub-945a7c90799a612f5d07ffea88bfb479:disqus Bizarro is a single panel, daily comic that has been around for a long time and always seemed like Far Side-style comic to me.  I'm not a fan, but I wouldn't call it "hopelessly bad", so I'm not sure if that's what you're thinking of.

@avclub-3db41011acc2d229176bf6a92202728d:disqus Speaking of bad laugh tracks on British comedies, I just rewatched The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer series 1, which I hadn't seen a bit of in about 10 years (and several eps I hadn't seen in 20 years), and I did not remember the atrociously invasive laugh track.  It almost

Dang.  Thanks for outdoing me in "bitter old crank" competition, Buzz.

I might actually just say that the whole album Ghost of the Great Highway but Sun Kil Moon fits the bill.

@avclub-6ffc79f9decf633c29b09e6c25621195:disqus I understand that, but I really do have a hard time believing that there is any reasonable Far Side fan out there that thinks every Far Side comic is beyond reproach, which is kind of what I'm seeing as the criterion here.
