The Great Escape for me.

Tramampoline! Trambomboline!

He was later heard yelling at them "I'll follow you to your cars!"

That and her slowly reacting to her situation with Nick as he sings Lady to her always stood out in my mind as just great acting by her as she makes it perfectly clear what Lindsey is thinking and feeling without any actual dialogue.

Yes, that's right too, they only really major thing in common is that both are shows that focus on families that are actually middle class, and because that is so rare people seem to think they are the same when they should be asking why are so few shows focusing on that type of family.

I don't think you have watched too much of The Middle then.

He's really come a long way from working in the J Peterman mail room.

I think the only times the used characters from the Leanord novels were the Zip from the pilot, Boyd, the nurse involved in the organ stealing scam, and now Jackie Nevada.

The "We the purple?" dad has to be the gold standard for that.

I love how the guy has both a box paper weight and a box calendar in his office.  Guy just really loves boxes

I remember having a few Bart key-chains as a kid, including the one featuring the famous "Underachiever and proud of it" line, and a couple of T-shirts.

"Yeah"

Have any of the workers ever had their hands cut off by the machinery?

Re watching this episode on DVD the other day I was floored by this line, which is pure Swartzwelder  insanity/genius.

Bart, I need to get your fingerprints on a candlestick.  Meet me in the conservatory, chop-chop.  Don't worry everything's gonna be aaaall right.

Ah, Oliver North. He was just poured into that uniform.

Well well, if isn't the tooth fairy.

The added touch of slipping in some of the actors from It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is great.  The Phil Silvers one is just a scene from the movie, but the others are just standing in with the rest of the town.

Moe's outfit looks like a boys scout uniform with one of those German helmets from World War One.

It's neither, he actually says forfty to put the cherry on top of the joke.
