I went to the eye dr and discovered that I needed vision correction, but only for one eye. I had hoped to find a monocle to correct my problem, but it turns out that not many places carry them and they aren't covered by my insurance.

Hey, be nice. Spencer cares about the starving African children. He wants to adopt one and name it Dunk. You know, because black people are good at basketball. Apparently, not so subtle stereotypes are just his specialty.

Yeah, look like.

Hold on. Something's not right, here.
He wouldn't read a book. At least, not one without pictures in it.

I realize that Chuck's intentions were good, but that was simply a new form of torture for Ned. Look, she's naked. Look, she loves you. Now just make sure that all you do is look, because you can never have her.

Not until we get out Gary Busey biopic.

I refuse to acknowledge Bio-pick. It sounds stupid and bi-opic sounds cool, even if it seems more like you are describing someone as having two eyes.

@Isis - Chicago. I was surprised at how far some of the people had come for the audition. (Georgia, Kansas, etc.) I guess I was just lucky to be within a few hours of an audition site.

Aww, what happened to the fake Pilgrim comment? It may have been crude and insulting, but it was about someone else, so I found it funny.

@leeharvey - Online testing. That's how they do it now. You can stay in your house safe from Jack Ruby and take the test. If you pass, you'll have to audition, but you can at least start the process.

@Isis - Good luck. I auditioned not too long ago and am in the 18-month wait. I have no expectations of them ever calling me since the "List five interesting things about yourself" thing made me realize just how boring I am. What am I supposed to say, "I spend too much time reading and commenting on The A.V. Club"?

When I went home for lunch today, there was a guy on TPIR with a tank top, backwards baseball cap and jeans with a rip in the crotch. That's some serious preparation for appearing on national television.

Social skills of Jeopardy contestants
If you think the social skills of the contestants on Jeopardy are middling-to-weak, you should go to one of the auditions and see the people who don't make it on.

So…
Does Richard Gere use a snowglobe to bash in the head of any of Diane Lane's lovers in this one or are all the wounds emotional?

I'm sorry. Your Felicia Day references are too recent. To show that you knew about her before everyone else, you need to reference The Guild or her appearances on Buffy.

It's never lupus.

I hope it is. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure she should be on the villain list. That's just cruel.

@beboba While watching last night, I pointed out how silly it was for Claire to threaten Peter with a gun in the first scene. What did she think was going to happen? Assuming he doesn't fly away, stop time and/or the bullet, fry you with electricity before you shoot, use telepathy to make you shoot yourself or go

But if she doesn't feel pain, why cut herself? Isn't that the whole point? (Granted, leaping in front of a train makes even less sense.)

If he is considered a "series regular" for the season, he'd be in the credits regardless of whether he is in the episode or not. At least, that's my understanding from similar things with other shows.
