I personally liked B&B as well-dressed grown-up film critics, but I agree that the show as a whole is at its best and truest when it does the accidental insight-through-stupidity stuff.

One little thing I love is a certain commonality between the intonations of "serious Butthead", "serious Van Driessen", and "serious Hank Hill".

Uh, huh huh, maybe in the sequel they could like, sew one guy's butt to another guy's butt! Huh huh, huh huh.

And if you ask me, the fact that the human eye is so complicated makes it LESS likely that it came into existence suddenly and instantly.

I guess the moral is: Pay attention to advertising all the time.

Oh, and I liked the dig at creationists — equating them, to some extent, with people who just dismissively say, "Uh, that's complicated, I don't wanna learn that."

Two things that really stood out in a good way for me:

That was awesome the way they looked up to those two guys.

He has, now.

I heard that Daniel Day-Lewis saw a guy who watched another guy drown without trying to save him, so Daniel Day-Lewis wrote a song about it and then sang it right to the guy in the front row at the next concert and the guy killed himself.
