Is an Autobio playlist a thing?  I've never heard of it before but it's intriguing.

We had a copy of Lucy Knisely's French Milk in our library when I was in college.

@avclub-25034d2094f6312bd0e49f713efb5e45:disqus I'm pretty open minded about the medium, and xkcd consistently does things I'd think were awesome if done a different way.  I can imagine getting pretty geeked out by this concept if it were done by someone else a bit differently.  It completely misses my sense of humor,

I will admit a heavy bias against said group because (while not a rule) I find so many in said group unpleasant, misogynistic, and unwilling to be flexible about their identity's boundary lines.

@avclub-ad8d3a0a0f0a084a97fad357c649438c:disqus If we're talking about Strip Search I'd like to sing the praises of the thus-far overlooked Mackenzie Shubert, who does some kick-ass sci-fi comics I can't stop drooling over.

@avclub-69f62956429865909921fa916d61c1f8:disqus But I am not and will never be.

Don't you mean one of the few you know about?  I can think of so many.
Scott McCloud posts about them on his blog CONSTANTLY.

"pleased with itself for understanding that science is a thing"
Yes, nail on the head.  I am in the Dresden Codak camp of preferring my science comics to be drawn really really really well and have good writing.

There are people out there who appreciate xkcd.  I am not one of them.

I think it's often overlooked that just as some people have trouble learning from reading things, some people have trouble learning from listening or watching videos.

NO YOU ARE WRONG.
THIS IS CHARMING AND FUNNY.
Their commitment to the "cartoon in real life" is commendable   I liked the radio actually moving back and forth on the desk and the wardrobe disguise actually going into the office, and the chief's dog eyes bulging.  This is great.

Someone has seen into the depths of my soul and knew that my favorite things in life are superheroes, dogs in clothes, and 50s kitsch.

Whoops!  Oh, if only that was the story.
No, I looked it up- I had it wrong, it was Frank Iero, the rhythm guitarist and back-up vocalist.

Listen- I'm really open about body shapes and I accept that people are going to look different and that many different weights are beautiful and healthy.  I have friends who are heavier than her that I would never say anything negative about.  But we really, really didn't like her.

OH SHIT DOUBLE SCOOP IS GOING TO BE SO UPSET.
Double Scoop is the code name for a girl I went to school with that we found insufferable.  She had contacted the drummer or something of MCR, or as she called it, "My Chem" to personally do a portrait of him and "sat down with him, really got to know him."  We didn't

It's not surprising.  Everyone has influences.

I thought it might have been that, but there are other moments, like when she can't get out of her game or when Ralph sacrifices himself that are tear jerk moments too, so I couldn't tell.

did you get to smell his neck?

Wow, nice!  Congrats!

I'm sad that I never went when I was in school.
