That's the thing.  He's not great on continuity, and while he goes into the "you can't die in Oz" thing in quite a bit of depth, he doesn't address that people HAVE died in Oz!  I feel like it might have been some kind of magic policy Ozma instated once she took over, but I don't know if that's right.

That movie is fantastic and, for my money, the best representation of the Oz of the books.  Things are more cheery in the books, yeah, but there is creepy weirdness at every turn and a bunch of subtley fucked up little details.  Like, say, did you know you can't die in Oz?  But you can get hurt.  If you're hacked up…

I mean, you had sunglasses on, and I'm of the opinion that a true celebrity resemblance is in the details and less likely to be the overall impression.  But you seemed like you could pull off a wide variety of celebrities/characters with the right costume, really.  Ron Burgundy would be fun.

Yeah, I watched it after a friend of mine was talking about how after watching a few episodes in the dark she got all jumpy.

I'm going to sound like advice your mom would give you, but get a hobby or volunteer or go outside/drive to someplace scenic on a nice day.  Take some photos.  Go play with the animals at Petco.  Something to cheer you up.
