I was waiting for a big tearjerker ending where Fran Kranz convinced the girl they were just going to wait it out and let the world end, only to shoot himself when she turned her back for a moment.

My mom watched RoboGeisha with me, and she is the stereotypical "loves Oprah and The Bachelor and RomComs" kinda lady.

I had an idea that I was going to start drawing fanart and posting them on Monday's "popculture weekend" thread after I started drawing Fran Kranz (inspired by my recent Dollhouse marathon and his interview).  And then I didn't finish the drawing.
Maybe next week, or on the Hater column?

I've got to imagine you wouldn't have been the only person who tried to get jailed with Fiona Apple.

Everyone on that show is so damn good looking.

I passed on reading or listening to any of this after the third paragraph when Destiny's Child was mentioned because it sounded like so much more fun to listen to.

I've never seen it, but watching the trailers just now I was blown away by how beautiful it looks.  "Timeless beauty" is such a good way to describe it.

I was really annoyed by that too.  "Oh, you mean I look like a promising young female director and the daughter of two famous artists?  OH THE SHAME, can I ever show my face around here again?"

"All these kids ever want to play is pop songs.  How am I going to instill a love of Holst and Dvorak into them?"  he says to his wife over dinner while listening to the New World Symphony.  When it's time to give grades, he still gives everyone an A regardless of how much they clowned around.

This was an adorable interview.  I know that sounds patronizing, and he's a few years shy of being 20 years older than me, but something about him reminds me of a precocious kid who is smart but kind of nervous and can't believe he got so lucky.
