I really liked the Walker Texas Ranger lever I mean The Mentalist lever.

"And was there always this succession with special effects?" Good question, campaign video.

It worked so well the last time Dan Aykroyd put together a sequel to a beloved classic.
Carrie Brownstein is well deserving of her current success and deserves to take on whatever project she wants, but this is like watching Jordan play baseball for me. She does comedy better than some, but she does music better than almost anyone. I anxiously await a headline about a Gibson SG in her hands.
At some point during the life of this story, I idly thought the libel suit might go through, Faircloth would not be able to pay, and the judge would rule that she would work off the debt by becoming Oberst's butler. I don't know why my brain wants a Bright Eyes sitcom, but here we are.
Did we get an audible "fuck" during the second episode? Can we say "fuck" after 10:30 on basic cable now? Pete Campbell's girlfriend got to say it on Mad Men this year, so I'm wondering if we're at some sort of tipping point.
BEHROOZ!
I wonder how 24's method of titling has affected its critical standing among other modern serialized shows. It's easier to point to episodes like The Suitcase, or Crawl Space, or College when talking about another series' high points, which I feel leaves 24 out of the conversation a lot of times. On a smaller scale,…
It is definitely weird that, thanks to Lars Von Trier and shitty horror movies, I can years later see the leads of Even Stevens very naked. I can only imagine that the trend is slowly trickling down to the leads of iCarly. One hopes that it never gets to the point where we have either Beans or Gibby in flagrante.
I was super happy when I realized that Pamela on Louie was Spinelli from Recess. I now know how long she's been in the business, but at the time, it was like fast forwarding from 4th grade to early 40s in the span of a few years. I was glad to be able to think that Spinelli grew up to be a petite, sarcastic brunette.

So, am I legitimately missing out on Mac DeMarco? I'm mainly going off of this. I definitely take Weezer too seriously, but seriously, Undone - The Sweater Song has like 8 lines, and this guy got most of them wrong. I hated it so much. There has to be a better entry point, and I turn it…
What is this strange alternate universe where Jack Bauer didn't appear onscreen a year before Jason Bourne?
VDW, I think you're off on your views of the original Veronica Mars and Arrested Development series finales. My, and I think a lot of people's, excitement for a VM continuation spun from the slapdash nature of its de facto end, with Veronica walking away from the camera into a frustratingly uncertain, unplanned, and…
One of my favorite bits of Community season 2 was the way they popped the balloon of lingering Jeff/Britta will they?/won't they? tension by having them been secretly doing it all season long, which we only learn at season's end. That was a move that'd I'd always dreamed of doing if I somehow ran my own sitcom, so I…
Man, I legitimately hate to defend Zack Snyder's Watchmen, but I feel like its use of Hallelujah as an anthem for gross fucking is one of the few appropriate uses of the song in film and television. "Remember when I moved in you?" Gross! Who says that? Also, super subtle owlship flame orgasm metaphor is straight from…
Guys, why can't we see Harry Chapin's band's faces? WHY CAN'T WE SEE THEIR FACES?
This was the first regeneration that I saw live, and I liked that 11 got to live to ripe old age, and that when he did regenerate, he acknowledged the faces he'd been. Also that Peter Capaldi was just kind of sneezed into being, without the glowy face meld. As we're at the end of the Matt Smith era, the plot point…
I'm not a regular commenter, but Sports Night is one of my favorite shows, and these writeups have been one of my favorite parts of this site. Thanks for all the words, Donna.
I was not expecting Nellie McKay to ever appear in the Newswire, so thanks for making my day, AV Club.
Gee gang, I thought Billy and the Hot Tubasaurus was the one about the boy in love with a tuba that is also a dinosaur.
