PB is pretty far from evil. She clearly loves and treasures her subjects and in many episodes has made their happiness a top priority. She is also stubborn, prideful, does not suffer fools well and is too quick to see fools. She's also a monarch and the Candy Kingdom is a monarchy, but I don't think she show's writers

The reason Lena Dunham is unattractive has nothing to do with her weight, and everything to do with her politics, attitude and aesthetic, her fucking condescension to everyone who isn't an artist.

Just listened, very bare version with acoustic guitars and snare drum. Wow. So I guess someone's already done that one pretty well. Maybe The Big Sky or Cloudbusting?

Sonia Dada - You Don't Think About Me

Sonia Dada - I'm Gone

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love

The Band - Acadian Driftwood

Ahh man, can't you learn it from two places?

I loved the call back to "Wizard's Only, Fools", my favorite all time episode. Not only Ron James (whose potions all look suspiciously like bongs), but that scofflaw Stranson Doughblow.

It really was a different time. I love the fact that this kid, with that face, had a niche. Now it wasn't much of a niche, and it didn't last all that long, but it was surely there: a hideously shrunken, pasty faced, butt-ugly, big-hearted, red haired niche. God bless that decade.

That idea has a particular horror for me.

It's like he's disappeared into fat air!

That's really funny StevePegues….
They're also used in home pretzel making. Just like Marge in that one Simpsons episode!

I would not put Cobain in a group of ….wait a minute? What the hell are you talking about exactly?

Apparently they don't. Was it just me, or was that Aberdeen doctor ("even if I'm walking around in a white lab coat, or wearing a stethoscope around my neck, because those are, you know, typical things a doctor might do") not exactly inspiring professional confidence?

Terrific idea! Get on that. somebody….

My vote: Season 1 of The Wire, McNulty and Bunk. Also pretty much any time Al Swearengen opened his mouth in Deadwood. Don't try to out "fuck" HBO buddy!

"Kotb and Gifford—who practically dared Stritch to do it with all her talk about how Stritch just says whatever she wants to say, and isn’t that amazing?—recoiled with the shock of their shattered, barrel-aged innocence, which they’d spent years carefully preserving in merlot."

Does anyone else find the 1974 ABC promo jingle hard to believe? "Let me be your friend? Let's get together and work it out? A house is just a house until…." Jesus Christ! I know mocking the 1970's is pretty devalued currency in these parts, but I can't conceive of any other reaction.

There is a saying that I am no doubt badly paraphrasing: if we do not change our direction, we are likely to end up where we are headed. I think we can stop stressing about it. We're there.
