A remake! Those are always good.

Yeah, I don't get this one at all. It's like too big for the central eye and so it requires your peripheral vision. Peripheral vision doesn't see in enough detail to pick out that one particular feature. What's the illusion supposed to be again?

It looked to me like she took a grab at Darlene's arm and Darlene pulled it back away from her. I think Dom was trying to get them out of there to save their lives, though how she could know that they'd be targeted then and there is beyond me. Maybe just a case of, "Get them under protection as quickly as possible

Well, sure, in the old-fashioned sense of a war movie, it's hard for a modern filmmaker to try to convince the public that we're on some overseas adventure or something. Today's pro-war film has to acknowledge the realities of war on some level, while still supporting that we're in a fucking war. It's a dirty job, and

I had no idea Harvey was born in Kenya.

I would argue that the film wasn't attempting nuance. In fact, it was trying to iron out what nuance it found. I think a truthful portrayal of the real situation in Iraq during the war would be confounding, complex to the point of being unwieldy and completely infuriating.

I paid attention, and couldn't disagree more with the article's superficial reading. (which is the cue for my political soapbox, since this kind of thing really pisses me off).

In fact, you'll find that false accusations of false accusations are near universal among actual rapists. Odd they don't just up and confess and go to jail willingly.

I think he's saying the suicide was ten years later.

See, I have no idea why the reviewer is taking the book at face value. Isn't being an asshole their whole shtick? Not that Zamuda shouldn't figure out a way to be an asshole on his own terms instead of hanging on the assholery of an asshole who's been dead for thirty years, but still. I would just assume he's

Oh dear, they're not releasing the new season all in one big clump, are they? Because that would be a huge mistake. If ever a TV show was wrong for binge watching, it's MST3K.

Anyone else like Children of the Revolution as much as I did?

Lone Star is the highest grossing Sayles movie.

Oh, good, they're making a superhero movie.

All y'all want to talk about the vomit scene, and nobody mentions the fact that Angela dresses up in hot cleavage for her eagerly anticipated date with Mr. flabby Fascist CEO who's ahead of her by at least fifty years?

These women should stop jizzing all over Ghostbusters (III)

I don't think I would pin that on the show. Bury Your Gays is really about the premise that being homosexual means you're condemned to misery and loneliness. Life hates you. I think Gideon had already transcended that particular lie. He wasn't suffering for being gay and he didn't die for being gay. His gayness was
