Remember when it was considered anti-trans to hate Caitlyn? God, I hated that.
Remember when it was considered anti-trans to hate Caitlyn? God, I hated that.
Whoever made Caitlyn the face of the trans movement should be beaten. Repeatedly. By Rupaul and Laverne Cox. And run over by a car.
I completely agree re: Gregor's death in the books. I'm just saying in the show, Melisandre will do it. And you're right - she'll do it with fire. I think the show isn't in on CleganeBowl.
Punchable? Yes. Accomplished? Debatable.
The Night King is a MRA? Makes sense…
IIRC, people in Westeros have heard RUMORS of the Faceless Men. But, I think that's the whole thing with the book - there's lots of stuff that's rumored but not believed. Direwolves, White Walkers, Faceless Men, even dragons - lots of people don't think any of it is true. So there's a lot of room for people to…
Whoa! THAT is a good Valonqar theory!
Remember that lots of supernatural stuff happens on this show and people are disbelieved. I'm guessing that the witness told a story that sounded super crazy and that detail got dismissed.
It's all relative. Book Jaime is an A and show Jaime is a C. Book Dorne is a B- and show Dorne is a D.
Wait, did they drop Dorne and the Iron Islands?!
It definitely comes up… somewhere. I think the books, maybe also the show?
Arya's family has a history of madness?
The only thing the show handles worse than the Iron Islands is Dorne. But, yes, you're right. Top to bottom, they've ruined not just Euron, but the entire depiction of the Iron Islands. They're supposed to be somewhat fearsome. Instead, we get a weaksauce version of Jack Sparrow (himself weaksauce).
Not good enough.
I'm guessing:
1. GRRM did it and Season 5 was the last one from the books.
2. The showrunners were going to let GRRM explain why this plot point mattered.
3. GRRM skipped out because he was busy Tweeting and eating waffles.
4. The showrunners dropped the stupid plot point now that it doesn't matter.
5. GRRM writes more…
TWIST: Bran solves the White Walker crisis by showing the Night King images of _____. (Fill in the blank)
This is why I probably approve of the death of ANY royal executioner in a fantasy storyline.
I think Melisandre is going to be instrumental in killing the Mountain. She has lost her purpose, but she has the best prospects of making an unkillable dude killable.
I guess that's fair - if she doesn't kill civilians, I think it's reasonable for Cersei to get eaten by a dragon. Jaime too. And that'd be most of it.
O/u in terms of episode count? Episodes till he shows? Not sure what you mean. I think he shows up next episode and eats it.
