Oh man… great choice on "Touch and Go!" Easton's solos are always wonderfully done. That one is a special one though. Other favs of Easton's: "Tonight She Comes," "Shake it Up," "You Wear Those Eyes." … Actually they are all awesome!

I just hope Justice League has lots of long slow close ups of the heroes looking pained or depressed Then a bunch of quick confusing action where thousands of people die. That's what I look for in the DC movies.

Coming soon to avclub newswire:
"…and of course Frank Zappa." ???!?!?
If you are going to talk about the soundtrack you should get it right.
1. There are no Beach Boy songs on the soundtrack or in the movie.
2. The Frank Zappa song "Valley Girl" shares a title with the movie but is otherwise not in the film or on any soundtrack.
3. There were 2…
I'm a huge fan too but I always thought his best albums were the ones that were mostly done by himself. McCartney II, Band on the Run, Chaos. Or generally his Wings albums too. I think when he gets too ambitious (cough Give My Regards to Broad Street) he gets in trouble. I like Flowers but I think the biggest…
It's my favorite. "One of These Days" is such a great little known ballad by him.
I guess if Trump had tweeted "RIP Chuck. Glad you recorded Maybellene in 1950" then the avclub would be all over the correct information then. :)
Perhaps they should just correct it to say 'probably sometime after the Civil War but before Green Day released American Idiot' and that could cover it.
Hey it should be noted that the av obit on Chuck contains this incorrect bit: "In 1950, he recorded his first song, “Maybellene,”"
It was 1955. Seems like an important correction for a guy as important to pop culture as Chuck Berry.
These guys are a great live band to see. They have a light show basically embedded on their bodies and instruments. They play in darkness with the LEDs coordinated to their music. Cool stuff. The music is more straight-forward than one might expect but it's still good stuff!
He has now apparently cancelled the rest of the tour!
No way. That's kind of an outdated mind set. Did you hear all of the folks out there who couldn't decide who they would rather vote for back in the Spring… they couldn't decide between Sanders and Trump. What did they have in common? Nothing really.
And did you see the people coming out for Sanders at his…
The biggest failure with this election is the left's refusal to understand a world that they don't agree with. Hillary Clinton was not a good choice to inspire people to get out to the polls like Obama was and Sanders could have been. But she was the inevitable choice and Democrat favorite and she couldn't do it.
The…
"I'm not a smart man AncientShenanigan, but I know what overly-repetitive doo-doo is." - F. Gump :)
I just don't like Springsteen much but this song is basically the bottom. Just awful. I can't believe it's 32 years later and people are still talking about it like it's the freakin' Beatles. It's just blah.
They should be boo-ing it because it's an overly-repetitive piece of doo-doo with incredibly dated synth sounds and the political sophistication of Forest Gump. Blah!
and actually it's Hilarious House of Frightenstein. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi…
You have to check out the Hilarious House of Frankenstein. Gold standard right here man: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
