That's correct.  All the rest get paid first.  Then the talent.  Talent is jargon that is used in many entertainment fields (including radio) to describe the person who is actually performing.  That's not to say the rest are un-talented.  Of course it takes a village and all that.

Making money in comedy and music and whatever else is a tough business.  Mostly for the talent.  Yeah the venues have the biggest risk and slim margins… but always without exception it is the talent that gets paid last (if anything).  It is surprising when venues who you would think would be welcoming places to talent

"Driving on 9" is such a great track.  I like the Safari version of "Do You Love Me Now" better myself.  But yeah… all in all… lots of great tracks.  It's like Kim's "Doolittle."

Better yet… what if he took a swing at Nicki Minaj and she ended up killing him with some sort of karate moves.

Of all the Billy Joel songs you could have picked… you go with “We Didn’t Start The Fire.”  Yikes.  Is this going to be a combination Undercover / Hate Song?

AVClub is getting kind of slack on the accuracy of their music reporting lately.  What gives?

Correction:  The album cover clearly (or somewhat clearly) says the album is called "Modern Vampires of the City" not "Modern Vampire of the City."

Interesting.  Thanks!

Is it MBV or mbv (as it is written on the cover)?

Taking up time and space was essentially the goal of any and all local broadcast television stations.  It was essentially the basis of all jokes on SCTV.  So if something is slow or seemingly pointless and cheap… well… that's the joke!

One of my all time favorite shows.  It really actually looked and sounded exactly like the shows that it was sending up.  I was an avid tv viewer as kid and this show nailed it all!

Freddie Boom Boom Washington is NOT a monster!!!

@Emilia Barrosse - take notice!  Your newswire is incorrect!  I demand the highest in journalistic integrity!

Correction.

Congratulations is a great album!  Their fans on the other hand aren't so great.

I moved to Boston the year Cleveland went to the World Series (I am NOT in my late 20s).  I actually was in the stands at Fenway rooting against the Sox when Cleveland came to town.  Of course I had moved from Florida so seeing the stupid Marlins win the series was disgusting.  I had seen a Marlins game earlier in the

Welcome to Boston.  I live south of the city.  One thing to remember though… Cambridge is filled with people from other places.  Very few are natives of the area.  And on top of that people tend to be younger there.

I grew up in Cleveland and people are nicer there in general (at least compared with Florida or Massachusetts).

I watched both shows the night they both debuted.  I expected 30 Rock to suck because I hate post-70s SNL and I thought Studio 60 would be good.  I was shocked that 30 Rock actually made me laugh!  And Studio 60 was so unbelievably awful.

SCTV!  Nice!  Wait…is it really on the internet?  Because I passed on buying those DVDs when they were cheap and now I wish it was on Netflix or something.
