because he read what the guy who filmed this based it on and then said he thought this is what he based it on as though it was his own revelation? that part?

so we're in the 70s again, huh?
OMG we were there together. what a night. I'm glad our recollections mesh, it was so long ago I've wondered if I embellished it. Fucking amazing show. Since you went to UCSB you might get this — me and my buddy went back to my dorm at FT and jumped in the pool at like midnight, then got busted by the security guards.…
goddamn it this fucking sucks and I am typing this trying not to cry
my dad took me to see this in the theater when I was 7 years old. Scared the living shit out of me. I had my fingers in my ears and was hiding behind the seats in front of us. Fucking great time. AND I AM NORMAL.
Hey AVClub why don't you use a secure https web address? And don't blame that shit on Disqus.
So the site running this doesn't have a secure http address. what's up with that AV Club?
as for topping, I don't use mayo, I use sour creme cut with lime juice. It's a classic white sauce you get in norther Baja. I like the fried better because it's usually easier to cook. Many times when I've tried to do pan seared fish tacos I screw them up.
hey AV Club — I'd subscribe to your site for a few bucks a month as long as you promised to cut the crap Internet buzzy shit and listing what Amazon is selling today. Deal?
I totally agree that Sex and the City is trash, and trash just like Transformers or Entourage. But it's when people, mostly magazine feature writers or other think pieces, hold up Sex and the City as being a beacon of womanly power or independence or whatnot that I balk. It's fine that it's trash, everyone deserves…
Thanks for this, I would like to check out his fiction as the dark side of the beach is an interest of mine. But I do have to say John From Cincinnati was terrible. The host of Deadwood stars on that show and the same type of Shakespearean hyperbolic language were two very bad decisions. A rare misstep for HBO.
Am I the only one who's image of Deschanel has taken some serious damage after Kintsugi?
wait! try Fortress of Solitude, it's much better than Chronic City — stillnot like a 100% rec as the ending gets away from him, but 90% of Fortress is very very good
What swayed me to liking Everything Is Illuminated was the character arc of Alex. He was a fuck off big mouth at the beginning of the novel, and I thought he was pretty funny too. But by the time he gets through the story and learns of what his grandfather went through in the shetl, and then how he changes and takes…
George Saunders
Kurt Vonnegut
Annie Proulx
Alice Munro
there are more
this guy is a cunt. I'll never forgive him for raising cigarette taxes in California to pay for pre-K — what as fucking moronic idea — everyone should pay for that, not some targeted group of evil smokers. thanks. That's all.
I like this show, I like Jim Gaffigan, but I love Ashley Williams who plays his wife. I don't know what it is but man she just does it for me, like Parker Posey and Meg Ryan got smooshed together and then her attitude is just …. ok, sorry I'll stop
I totally agree with this, and was reminded of it in the 20 year documentary PJ did — did you catch that? I mean, if Mother Love Bone had continued those dudes were straight up hair metal. Even Chris Cornelll was a bit too hair metal for my taste, and I was living in LA at the time so my sense of hair metal was fine…
thanks munster
so I am a much bigger All fan than Descendents fan. I would say Allroy's Revenge is my favorite All record — how does this one stack up to that?
