That'll be a cool show. I've seen Dethklok twice—they play a great set, and the cartoon hijinks aren't too intrusive if you're not into that aspect of it.

It really is tragic how improperly toned screaming can kill the atmosphere of a good metal song. That singer Cryptopsy had for a while who sounded more like he should have been in Throwdown really took away from some of the songs he was on (though WS and ATYB weren't their best albums anyway).

The chief difference to me is how it feels when you read the stories. When I'm reading a Marvel comic, I feel like I'm reading a story that takes place in a densely populated fictional world with a rich history, and I'm conscious of that. Not so much with DC. That's obviously subjective (and not meant as a knock…

Those events all still happened, though. Marvel's history is still canon, is the point, and the majority of it still informs the characters' relationships, as opposed to over in the DCU, where the relationship between, say, Batman and Superman has been built and altered for decades, but isn't necessary a culmination…

Also, if memory serves, he did that with technology taken from Cadmus, not the Mad Hatter.

Wasn't it the original Batwoman?

It might sound lame out of context, but for some reason "That's what the guy was talkin aSHIT!" is the biggest laugh line in all of Tenacious D for me. I dunno why, I just lose it every time.
Motherfuckin' fuck yeah. That is all.
I hope at some point Crowhead turns to the camera, shrugs, and goes "Eh, it's a livin'!"
"Yes, that Princess Diana."
@avclub-5fdbaa11bd42c308322756f60f43785f:disqus Those are definitely the highlights. I think "vicious and cold" is a great way to describe the way that album sounds, and for all that we rag on the production, I think the lack of bass adds to that atmosphere at certain point. Also, Hammet's lead playing was at its most…
I think Justice is their best album.
Thing is, I was super excited about Death Magnetic when it first came out, but less than a year later its songs had completely dropped out of my listening rotation. By contrast, I still listen to the Megadeth "return to form" album from around the same time. DM basically amounted to an empty imitation of what…
Didn't a crew member die in an explosion on the set of the EXPENDABLES sequel a few months ago?
