Celtic Frost are the definition of iconic among people who care about metal. Just because that status doesn't extend outside of their niche doesn't mean it's not genuine.

I genuinely can't wait for the show to end so I can marathon the entire thing.
As I write this, Dan Harmon was un-fired some time ago, but Community has now been cancelled. Most of the old guard have left the site to create one that is very good but much more limited, and TV Club has eaten the music section.
It would also demand that an entire phase of Marvel flicks be devoted to this one big storyline. For my money, the year they try that is the year people check out.
Yeah, RDJ's Tony is never gonna do that. Not convincingly, anyway. He and Steve would be in complete agreement this time around.
A lot of people seem to want that for some reason. I just don't see it working on screen (and I'm even more or less a fan of the story).
I feel like Darkseid is the only villain choice for a Goyer Justice League movie, right? They're not gonna fucking do Starro.
And yeah, his motivation will be unclear and his plan will be dumb, and who knows whether that character ever gets a second chance on the big screen.
That sounds a lot more like something DC would do, by which I mean it sounds petty and dumb.
If they "cancel" it it'll just mean it doesn't run for a while. They've done that before.
It's…it's better than it sounds.
I will die on this hill with you. Blackened is the best song they ever recorded. Dyers Eve has Hammet's best solo. Harvester of fucking Sorrow. You could trim the title track and Shortest Straw by maybe a minute each, but they're both full of great riffs, and there's nothing else on the album I'd cut. It's their…
I am young and deserve to live, but I'm with you here. I'm unsettled by the idea of there being zero barrier between "guy who came up with a thing" and "published author." I'm all for democratization, but this is more like..anarchization?
That was actually my very first thought after finishing the movie. It's the kind of story that would suit contemporary Hollywood greats, and it would be an opportunity to fix the ending, by which I mean like the last twenty seconds of the movie.
This one and Red River are what sold me on John Wayne, even though he and Howard Hawks were both gigantic pricks. Wayne might not have had the range of a great actor, but the easy charm of his persona can turn into something really compelling with a good script (especially one like Red River, where he's pointedly…
And as for "bucking the Jedi Code," I feel like that's to be expected; she was taught how to be a Jedi by Darth fucking Vader.
Is Greg Land the guy who draws everybody with the three-foot necks?
No! No no no. It was the guy from W.A.S.P.
That's actually exactly the case according to the Star Wars RPG, which is based (either entirely or mostly, depending on which edition you're using) on 3rd-edition D&D. Hutts have a racial bonus to Will saves against the Force. (I think it might be lower than +5, though).
Holy motherfucking God DAMN do I love this band. I feel like their modernized-yet-faithful approach to thrash validates the whole thrash revival. I'm gonna blast Limb From Limb like seven times (I ordered the new one too late to get it on release day and I'm not letting myself listen to it until I get the actual CD).
It was a surprisingly faithful rendition of the character, though with candy subbed in for his drug addiction(s)
