I thought Stories was an interesting departure/exploration that still mostly sounded like PJ Harvey to me.

I love Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea, but it's easily the most radio-friendly record Harvey ever recorded and is pretty much the antithesis of a " listen-to-the-whole-thing-until-you-like-it".

The Budokan version of "I Want You To Want Me" is the one I grew up with and the only one I knew existed at the time.  When I finally heard the regular studio recording years later I was completely let down.

License To Ill was the soundtrack of my preadolescence.  The tape belonged to one of my best friends, because my parents would never let me own it at that age, and he and my other best friend listened to it until we wore it out on my friend's Radioshack cassette player.  I know that the record became kind of looked
