Thank you for the reply. That's pretty much what I was thinking. I like your suggestion, but I also doubt they'll do that. I think if they were planning to use it to impeach MacLeish they would've had someone saying something about how what he was doing was illegal or that he has no authority to direct such action,

Speaking of laws, can the President actually direct law enforcement to kill a suspect? I don't remember who the other guy was, but I'm assuming someone FBI-related. Is the President able to give "tactical" orders to the FBI? That didn't seem right to me.

I could really do without her; find the character and performance to be fairly obnoxious. I really like the show otherwise, though.

I was disappointed in Going Clear. It didn't teach me much beyond my general knowledge of the topic and what I learned from South Park.

Requiem for a Dream uses split screen and has moments where characters interact across the split screens.

Even though Annie Hall did it first, I like this better. The twee cutesiness doesn't bother me.

That scene is great and the person he sees in his reflection is pretty much perfect - the epitome of the cool confidence he's feeling at the time.

I dunno. Seems kind of patronizing.

I've heard it was studio interference that resulted in the text at the end.

It felt like Hoffman was sleeping during the movie only to rouse occasionally to yell something at Cruise; such a disappointment. I still don't get the praise for III. II isn't great, but at least it's fun. With IV and V I think they managed to find the right balance between action, drama, and fun.

I thought this was on HBO, which I don't subscribe to, so it's a pleasant surprise that it's Netflix. Sounds interesting.

Just trying to be accurate in discussions.

I haven't seen the original designs for Frozen, but what I've heard of the original story sounds superior to where they wound up and helps explain a number of the inexplicable events in the movie.

Allegedly.

Different director in the first one: Doug Liman vs. Paul Greengrass in the others.

I didn't realize the show was back on until I saw a review pop up, only to find out it was for episode 3. I was able to catch up with On Demand, but yeah, I can't keep track of this stuff so seeing AV Club reviews has always been helpful in knowing when shows are on/returning.

I check our local IMAX occasionally with the hopes that they'll be showing it. They've been replaying "older" movies lately, but haven't seen Ghost Protocol on the schedule yet (I know it's unlikely). I didn't see it until it came out on video and always wish I could've seen it on a real IMAX screen.

I can't keep up with those guys.

I thought it was pretty bad, though not as bad as Talladega Nights.

I had no idea they made a second Anchroman. As such, I assume it wasn't any good.
