I've watched it again. It's still pretty bad.

I hadn't even remembered what happened Bane until I read this article. Now that I do, I remember that I thought it was stupid. I didn't really care for the endings of any of Nolan's Batman movies, though.
I've never seen any of that. When I've heard him speak he's funny and doesn't take himself seriously. Maybe it's just the context, but Trebek never struck me as either of those things.
How dare you besmirch Pat Sajak. He's a national treasure.
I can't say I agree with your assessment of the Bible, but I'd prefer not to get into a back-and-forth about it. I do think following the tenants of Christianity would result in principled, moral, and temperate lives. It isn't supposed to be ammo, though. Surely, some use it that way, though. At any rate, thanks for…
Okay. I was mostly responding to the statements you made (do anything and just ask for forgiveness, no worries; faith without works). I've heard some people say that, but didn't think that they were inherent to Protestantism or a widespread opinion. I'm not up on different denominational theology, though, so I concede…
Would you mind elaborating a little bit more on what you mean by repudiating Protestantism? I'm not quite following. Thanks.
Do you know if you need to have a paid subscription to watch this? Does free hulu still exist, for that matter?
I don't remember him skulking. Wasn't he just sitting in his car a couple houses away all night?
I asked a lawyer friend of mine about invoking the 5th Amendment and why you couldn't "pick and choose" what you answer. The example he gave was providing testimony about your version of some events and then upon questioning (rebuttal) invoking the 5th. When he put it that way it made a lot more sense to me.
I'm sure there are. It rang of truth, but I can't say ever tried to actually evaluate it. I think the main point was that their were racists everywhere even if they might manifest themselves differently. See also, ethnic bigotry vs. racial bigotry.
I've heard it said that the difference between racism in the South vs. the North is that racists in the South are more open/honest about it, whereas those in the North aren't. Or put another way, they both think it, but only the Southerners actually say it.
Not to any Protestant (or Christian, really) who's actually read the Bible.
Romans 6:1-2 "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?"
Regarding Aronofsky, I thought Pi was a much better religious movie than Noah. I'd throw in Breaking the Waves and Junebug as two other excellent films dealing with religion and faith. Actually, Junebug is one of the most accurate depictions (to my experiences) I've ever seen of church and Christianity.
Didn't she also say she saw guys skulking around her house that night Mike was there? That's simply untrue. Or maybe I'm remembering incorrectly.
It's actually more than $8. He took that much for himself, but he essentially gave away the merchandise for free. If the dad paid $4 total for the two cartoons, Jimmy really cost his dad $12. As someone noted elsewhere, "Banana…buck….banana…buck."
Someone posted this article as well. http://www.latimes.com/ente…
Sure. I know there are tons of movies being filmed in Georgia now, just like North Carolina before. Is it enough to offset all the money they're giving away, though? Given that the economics of stadiums haven't met the promises made by the owners, I'm skeptical. Movies/TV production are potentially ongoing…
More accurate diagnoses would definitely be helpful. More "well-rounded" understanding of autism and the spectrum is also beneficial. Those might help allay many of the fears. If the disorder is real, though, then diagnosis seems to me the more prudent course; fear of it or otherwise.
Thanks for sharing. I read your article and don't necessarily agree with your underlying premise about why folks avoid vaccines. Regardless, I think you and Simon both make good points about better understanding of autism. I think fear of the diagnosis of any disorder is reasonable, but not to the extent that you're…
