I remember there was a baby at Saving Private Ryan. So much had been made about the opening of that movie I couldn't imagine what the parents were thinking. It was only a few minutes before the child was screaming its head off and that was the end of the movie for the family.

Actually, I think that was a big improvement to Little Miss Sunshine.

I don't think so. The commenter who noted that the show doesn't focus on dramatic plot developments is correct. However, in my mind the character development is more than just slow; it's mostly non-existent. I could live with that if the characters were more interesting, but other than the female lead, they're all

Those sound like promising developments. If those two actually do leave (or at least Angela), then I'd probably watch again.

I'd recommend the Fort Worth zoo. It's obviously out the way, but certainly worth it.

Actually, I think that's an accurate description of Vergara. Somehow she manages to be both pretty and not at all attractive at the same time.

I only like about three of these movies, but I really enjoyed reading this. I'd never in a million years do it, but it was a great read.

My wife bought it for me as a present a few years back. I think she paid $85 or so (I saw the credit card bill). I told her that was way too much and she really shouldn't have. Now I'm really glad she did. New from $250 on amazon.

haha I had the exact same thought.

The Anouk and Connie episodes were laughably bad. Connie, in particular. The others have been interesting in fits, but I've been disappointed overall.

I thought We Were Dead was pretty bad - a gussied up knock-off of their former strange brilliance. The pop didn't work for me and the oddity that always seemed to flow so naturally from their music mostly felt forced. I guess I'll check this out, but the reviews overall aren't encouraging.

Man, I thought III was bad and Hoffman was phoning it in. Maybe I need to watch it again, but I've just never been able to muster the motivation. I and IV are great, though. II was silly, but fun.

This would be irrelevant if the Emmy voters realize that the show also isn't good, which should negate any nominations anyway.

I thought it was just to scare him/them. I hadn't considered that they would actually burn a man alive. This show continues to go places I can't expect. I thought breaking bones to fold a dead woman into a suitcase was bad, but then we get "seducing" a 15 year-old and now throwing a tire over a man and setting him on

We saw a face, partially obscured by dirt. Unless he had an extra dead body lying around, I think it was her.

Are you saying that Nolan's movies have more political/sociological insight than Haneke's or that, like those two movies, Nolan also has no political/sociological insight?

I'd say he had promise. I thought he was good in The Alamo, Hard Candy and Little Children (which were all at the beginning of his career). I liked Watchmen and The Conjuring, but, yeah, that's about it.

That's the one I'm waiting for. I'm not much of a Star Wars fan, but if Johnson is involved, I'm there.

She is and, yeah, it was a good time.

When I watched Mad Men, I found these two to be the most interesting characters on the show (although that's not a high bar to clear). I'd probably watch shows centered on either.
