Word on Arrow! But I have to say that both VD and it's spin-off are less than stellar right now. Season Two VD was the peak of that show.

Maybe it's a Fox+Bad Robot thing? The first season of Fringe also aired in a jumbled order. It screwed up the tension and continuity then, hopefully it doesn't repeat here.

I was meaning notifications about the shows I follow, but that's useful to see too. Thanks!

I am also wondering where the hell notifications went. I hate change!

Why would you not consider cheese to be vegetarian????

"Networks have been trying to make a good competition reality series with kids as the stars for years, but the pint-sized set has proved remarkably challenging to build such a contraption around."

I confess I loathe Ramsay's TV persona, but you're right it really is refreshing to see contestants compete with good sportsmanship. I was really reminded of this watching this season's The Great British Bake-Off and to a slightly lesser extent the American version, The Great American Bake-Off. If you're a fan of

GOD! Best. Show. on. TV. Everyone's hit most of my favorite points, but really can we take a second to praise the use of music and scoring?! The show's always been good with this aspect (I recall the season 1 finale and the episode where Diane gets served in the gallery especially) but whew boy, this takes the

It's been mentioned already, but @Marah:disqus I don't think 'maligned' is the word you were looking for…or if it is the next clause directly opposes it…

I may have fist-pumped at the excellent choice and placement of Rhye. Even though I didn't really love the plot point.  I can't believe I missed the James Blake…when did that play?

First? Am I dreaming/in heaven?  I am still squealing like a fangirl over here and it's been a few hours since the show aired!  Everything was so so sharp tonight!  Somehow this season, Mary has morphed into a judge with competent critiques. Hears hoping her voice magically becomes less grating next season.

First?! AV clubbers where are ye?

Please god. Let this be so.

I'm predicting Curtis and Hayley for the bottom two next week. Curtis is obv toast, but strangely enough I think Hayley is at a disadvantage because she hasn't been in the bottom before. The other girls who are not Malece, Jasmine H, or Amy have all been in the bottom and have been able to distinguish themselves a bit.

I pretty much agree with you, but I have to object to the jazz label that all sides seem to be using.  I have no idea why either Jenna or Tucker received praise, though I would agree that Jenna was the better of the two.  I'd also agree that Nigel seems to have a bit of a double standard here— hip-hop can be fusion

I think you're exactly right. He's the only guy on this season who I think currently dances with real maturity consistently, (sometimes Tucker and Paul too). And while I am still annoyed/aggrieved that the show cut him originally I think it's great if it gets him more votes, esp because it just rubs the judges faces

Holy shit is right! My god even as recently as a year ago Wade was giving interviews in which he was a staunch defender of MJ so this kind of blows my mind…just holy shit! O_o

Never!

THIS! Praise.

I agree that they're relied upon too much, and in turn they rely too much upon lyrics and props, but really I can't hate because they gave us one of the GOAT numbers: Outta Your Mind with Alex and tWitch
