The thing that got me about Sam's ex was… He says he's "worried" that his daughters would be upset with him… but he WANTS them to be upset with him! He wants to FEEL like he matters to them, without actually DOING ANY OF THE WORK being a parent requires.
I mean, the girls don't even KNOW he's in the city. He WANTS Sam…
