I'm intrigued by the "11 minute jam" mp3 you get with the deluxe edition.

This was mine too. What a great album.
I should buy this after work today. Does anyone have the Deluxe LP? Is it worth the extra $7?
That happened to me recently, too. I couldn't sleep so I plugged in headphones around 3am and zoned out to that new Tame Impala album. It was perfect.

Totally disagree. I unabashedly love all of Saint Vitus' releases during the Wino era. The new album is their best in a long time; sludgy, off-kilter, and awesomely retro.

That Swans record is one of the weirdest/best things I've heard in a while. I don't even know if it has a genre.

Maybe it's too obvious? No love for the new High on Fire or Saint Vitus albums, either.

Lars is going to re-record over all the instruments with extra drum tracks. It will be more pure that way, he says.

I sometimes get bogged down in character names and titles but that's really my only complaint (and the "cast of characters" appendix is helpful in that regard). It's pretty impressive how Cromwell's opportunism and cynicism are the perfect gateway for modern readers trying to get into this story. I wonder if that's…

I've been reading Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel. I usually dislike historical fiction but she really brings out the incredible seediness of the 16th century. Can't wait to finish and start on the 2nd book in the trilogy.
