Just the comments.avclub email. I probably should have emailed her directly.

Good guess! This is fiction. It's called J: a Novel. It was okay. Interesting philosophical concept but not very well executed.

Go back to Newswires for Tuesday and find the town hall post. They're switching over to Kinja for comments in the next several weeks.

The AVC has a really blatant blind spot about it. This happens so often when YA novels are brought up.

They kind of do, but it's set in a pretty dangerous area, so you have to pay some attention to avoid being attacked. you can hear intentions in the Noise, too, not just literal thoughts. Like if someone was thinking of killing you, they might transmit an image of hitting you or a feeling of violence.

I could be forgetting: I read them when they first came out.

I'm not sure what they're describing there. In the book, the two main horrible things are that all women in the main area were murdered and everyone's thoughts are constantly transmitted to everyone else. There's no manhood related secret.

The books are fantastic. I'm going to assume the movie is going to be terrible so I can be pleasantly surprised if it's even decent.

NAh, I don't need to admit to something that isn't true, but good job being a condescending dickhead.

Yes, not giving my emotional labor to all who demand it is so terrible.

That's what you want to read into it.

I have no disdain for them. I've said three times in this thread I'm glad there are people who want to do that. I'm talking about how people are describing my apparent duty to straight people
In this thread.

It's clear that there are plenty of queer people willing to be an object lesson, just from this thread. We don't all have to be.

I mean, I even kind of get that: he's working for them and as funny as the gimmick was, I can understand not allowing blatant mockery of someone who works for them. But it's kind of awful that someone deleted all those, but not the comments calling me a fat, worthless slut.

I wish I could upvote this twice!

Or, as happened to me earlier today, an extremely hateful troll responded to me and several other people so I reported them. Their comments remain up, but the comments in the same thread from a gimmick account poking fun at Ernie from Kinja are all gone.

Now I'm picturing someone taking off a dust jacket and putting it on their Kindle just so they could still show off.

Sounds like it was written by Ryan North!

It's on a Kindle!

Remember the Hitusi?
