That scene stuck with me too. Great unexpected selection for this list. Hell, I was kind of sad when Teddy Forstmann died because of his portrayal here.

Seeing that line quoted in an avclub thread got me finally motivated to figure out what this show was and to check out the whole series. Worth it!

My opinion on which one of you is crazy depends 100% on the climate where you live. 

Which would matter if fictional characters were supposed to be some kind of ambassador, representing the majority of the people to which their jobs or interests correspond.  Which they don't, and isn't even a desirable characteristic for a work of fiction to aspire to. 

My husband and I watched the show in past seasons primarily because of how much Sheldon was like many of the academics in philosophy we know. But, you apparently know all smart people everywhere, so I bow to your superior taste.

I'm not going; my husband is.  But I think it's weird they don't mention up there that this event is taking place in a cemetery.

I thought Tim Robinson was really strong for being a new guy.  This news is disappointing.

I don't know if that's entirely fair, given about half the show's finalists were not white.  It's not like it's a different group of voters once you get to the finale.
