Im a huge fan of vanishing point, that is a great record. Star and Burning Wheel are pretty nifty, despite the poor lyrics.

Yeah, they were awesome, so is the record, shame the band got dumped by creation records to make way for the Berks from Burnage, Oasis.

thats all you need to know really, along with one time, the band were on Jools Holland, and it was the first time the Black Crowes appeared on the programme, and Kelly Jones sang on "Twice as Hard", trying his best to ruin the song, and thankfully failing.
Lions might have been a weak Crowes record, but better that

If you dig loads of eastern instruments, added to a hunger dunger dang base, the Tea Party have reformed.

Not enough placenta in that song.

The Stereophonics are huge in the UK, and its easy to see why, they are so bland, a combination of bits of the Black Crowes, early Oasis and the Faces all watered down for easy consumption. They did have a good debut record, which is a pretty decent chronicle of life in a small town, but after that, god did they go

Yeah, that record was actually released in 1990, plus it has two of panteras (and metals) greatest songs (Cowboys from hell and cemetary gates) and is regarded by the band and its fans as the true debut.

Ministry, not sure if its out of print, but pretty sure its disowned.

Plus, that statue is pretty ugly.

What about the Old lady who got bit by a dog with a Rabid tooth?

They did have the Nashville or Bust feature, and Wilco are never far away on this site (though they have gotten less country over the years). If you are talking about the Pop stuff that passes for country these days, you might have a point.

I said "Metal", not "Heavy Metal". You got the two confused.

I agree thats a good topic for a For Our Consideration, but could not disagree with you more over Ugly Kid Joe. That band was a Van Halen Style Metal band (with a few forays into funk metal and Eaglesy compositions, who just happened to write a song that was so FUCKING annoying and awful that it became a hit. God,

13TFUB is a good record, but this feature is so hyperbolic. For the so called rock and roll revival, the emergance of Douche Metal (Limp Bizkit), Nickelback and the rest of the Hunger Dunger Dang brigade, content to take the sound of Alice in Chains Dirt, dumb it down and drag it through the dirt, and bands who are

Compare Pearl Jam live when they had Dave Abbruzzese in the seat (1991-1994) and to their concerts now, especially with the material played from Ten and Vs - Cameron is an awful fit. His style for Soundgarden, with their ultra drilled style is perfect, but for Pearl Jam, he is awful. Firing Dave Abbruzzese (an awesome

Brad Wilk was never the right choice. Don't get me wrong, he is a great drummer, but his strength is with tightly drilled stuff, Most of Rages music was tight, but Sabbath started out as a blues band, with a loose feel in the late 60's, and the Ward/Geezer combo really swung. Wilk was/is a great fit for Rage, not so

So do I, just not on her. She should give the goggles back to Les Claypool and the stupid hat to Jeff Ament.
Its an alt-rock song in addition, and its one of the worst in existance. The entire band seemed to be the result of an experiment to make a band that fitted between the jam band scene and lilith fair. 4NB varied

Ride reformation as well as Oasis? Andy Bell really needs to pick up a Rickenbacker and dig out those effects pedals, Ride were brilliant, untill they chose to drop the wall of sound and make one of the worst records of the 1990s in tarantula (thankfully out of print)

A dictionary of Liamese? "Fookin magic", though still waiting on the Beckionary

Image wise, probably, though musically, a lot their stuff has a loose, jam band sort of feel, Similar to the Spin Doctors, and sounds pretty similar, with the obvious exception of Linda Perrys vocals, in comparison to the flat singing of Chris Barron, so they would have fitted well on the HORDE tour.
