This issue definitely stepped it up a notch in the writing and art department.  I liked the series before this, but I retroactively like the first five issues a little less because this was so much better.  I hope they go somewhere good with the set up.  Please, for the love of God, reverse No More Mutants.  That

2000s Frank Miller is insane.  I don't even bother with his stuff.  DKR-era Frank Miller is basically a different person.

Agreed.  I loved it when it first aired, it was so different from any other episode, and I don't know about this whole "changed the show" thing everyone is saying.  It seems to me like the show has gotten worse because the writing isn't great and they now go off on bizarre tangents.  I don't think Frank Grimes is

At this point in the comics, the Joker has such a high body count and the penal system is so laughably incapable of keeping him locked up, that Batman just seems like an idiot for not straight up murdering him. Or at least crippling him for good like in Dark Knight Returns.  I mean, he knows without a doubt that the

I always thought Smilin' Shecky Rimshot was supposed to be the Joker with flesh-colored make up on.  Because there is literally no other way that works if the comedy show was only a year ago.  This isn't one of my favorite episodes.  As Oliver said, it really seems more like an episode of Tiny Toons than Batman.

I love Homer's Enemy just because it's different and Homer basically is still in character.  What really killed the show for me is when they started heaping bizarre physical abuse on Homer every episode.  Bart drilling into his head, going blind from eye crust, Panda rape. He stopped being a relatable character at all

I need to check out Living Hell.  If we're adding in runs like Dini's, Doug Moench and Kelley Jones' 90s run is amazing, if you don't mind a little weirdness.

I keep introducing friends to the Lithgow DLM.  I really love that one.

Yeah, I know everyone likes that he constructed a mystery that's out of chronological order, which is cool, but not necessarily what I was looking for in a Batman comic.  I actually really liked Morrison's run up through RIP, but the later stuff hasn't been my cup of tea.

The New Gods are super-powerful aliens created by Jack Kirby.  The New Gods' arch-enemy, Darkseid was shot with a god-killing bullet by Batman, and then while dying sent Batman back in time with a weapon called the Hyper Adapter that was supposed to kill him.  They fight throughout Gotham's history and the Hyper
