These episodes aren't bad, but I think they made a mistake by including the Injustice League. You're naturally going to compare it to their first appearance and having Aresia replace the Joker and Lex Luthor is a massive comedown.

Agree with BFG on Christmas (Baby Please Come Home), Step into Christmas and the Jackson 5 and Boss versions Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
I hate to be the one pointing this out, but it's the Fitzpatricks, not the Fitzgeralds. They get to be more important as the series goes on. I always liked that Liam is one of the few characters on the show who Veronica can't regularly beat because he's just a stone-cold psycho.
I remember the animation being pretty terrible in these two episodes, but I might need to do a rewatch. At least it sets up the awesome "For the Man Who Has Everything" episode. That one rocks.
"Holly Jolly" definitely hits my sweet spot.
I'm pretty partial to "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas."
Wonderful Christmastime is easily the worst and I was glad to see it deservedly in the photo for the article. The Beach Boys Christmas tunes are bad and lazy. I'm ashamed to admit that Step Into Christmas has somehow made the round into guilty pleasure for me though.
I agree. Bloodlines could have been great. Hell, make the kid actually Picard's son and have Bok actually kill him, that would have been more interesting than the lame hoops they jump through to make this as painless for Picard as possible.
I picked up Batman expecting it to be good, but not THAT good. That's the best Batman comic I've read in years. I like Morrison's take on Bruce, but sometimes thought his "big ideas" got in the way of telling a good Batman story. This has the best of both worlds.
I don't understand DC's love for Tony Daniels. They guy's art is fair and his writing is absolutely horrendous. I'm curious about Scott Snyder's Batman, but Detective might have turned me off enough to not even try that.
Dan Slott has been packing a ton of material into each of his issues of Amazing Spider-Man. That one definitely has an "old-school" vibe to me.
Agreed.
This Season
is my favorite season. Almost every episode is awesome. Too bad Larry David left, but he went out on a high note.
The key is:
Man, I stand by The Cotton Club. Bob Hoskins, Fred Gwynne and James Remar are great and so is the art direction and music. Tucker and Godfather 3 I kind of have soft spots for. Pretty much everything else strives to be passable and usually doesn't make it. From what I've heard Youth Without Youth and Tetro are…
Dark City
I love the "memory cut" at the end of Dark City when Kiefer gives Rufus Sewell the fabricated memories designed to teach him his powers. It slams into what he's remembering and then builds as he learns to use his powers. It's a great build up for the final fight.
Agreed. I really want to like that one more, but the plot is just so absurd. The fact that they wouldn't even tell Troi what is going on beforehand is crazy. It felt like that was made specifically to give us the "shock" when Troi turns on the light. But she didn't need to be surprised about it with the audience. …
I love "Rain." One of the best "showdown" songs ever. Agreed on "Call Me, Call Me" being the other best song too.
Clash of the Tritons
Can't wait for next week. 'Clash' is a top 5 episode for me. I love the mystery and Kristen Bell kills it during the karaoke scene.
The chunky line gets me every time.
