Adding a few
Just on my list: Knights of Cydonia by Muse (takes a while to get going, but when it does, cant be stopped)
Halfway Home by TV On The Radio (yes, hipster cred!)
Don't Stop Me Now by Queen (200 degrees, thats why they call me Mr Fahrenheit!)
Blame It On The Boogie by Michael Jackson
Instant Karma by John

Claire, obviously you have not heard of Bruce Willis in a not-at-all cliched robot clone movie. Surrogates will surely do boffo box office. It has an amazing 50% on the Tomatometer and is directed by noted auteur Jonathan Mostow. And Ving Rhames is in it! A Pulp Fiction reunion would surely get the punters in.

I love music, especially rock, that sounds like it came out of a spaghetti western. Knights of Cydonia by Muse is one of my favourites.

I love hitman films, i kinda just love any film or book or game where the main character is a complete badass and must use his badassery to teach thugs and criminals how to truly to be tough.

Apparently, thinking about opening weekend grosses makes you pathetic. I learnt that and am forever shameful.

Interesting comment, and yeah, absolutely right. It seems like these are completely weird characters, but teenagers do talk exactly like that: their conversations are inane and most of the time they say stupid shit that does not make sense to anyone but themselves.

Isnt the whole point
Of this feature to explain why these films are cult favourites, not just review them? It only gives reasons why people dont or wouldnt like it. For every movie in this feature, you can easily tell why people dont like it, the elusive question is why does it connect with this group of people who

"I try the best I can to determine who's responsible."

This frustrates me
Why is it that when you dont like a movie, that it is full of cliches or mainpulates you in such an exaggerated, obvious way, it is the screenwriters fault? But if you love a movie, one that is brilliant, full of emotional engagement and really sticks with you, it is because the director is amazing?

Um, not really. Considering a good chunk of the interview is given over to the fact that both Office Space and Idiocracy had less than stellar box office but grew its audience on DVD, it is valid to specualte whether a similar fate will befall Extract.

i never understood in Idiocracy how all the machines functioned. Surely you would need someone smart to make and maintain that shit?

Unfortunately
This will flop as well. 1600 theatres. 57% positive out of 23 reviews on RT. This film might be the next Office Space, but it will barely get past $30m, if that.

"Hey that really sucks McBain!"

How about a Batman that looks like Conan O'Brien?

he also would get teased about singing 'Putting on the Ritz'

"Remember the Bat-Tusi?"

Lovely
"Hey, we owe these commenters our livelihoods, so lets crap all over them! What a bunch of losers, having an opinion on a website that invites you to share it."

'Listen to your friend Billy Zane. He's a cool dude. He's trying to help you out. '
