Damnit!
Why cant you just reduce this band's music to an easily digestible soundbite? Something like:

What about that heart movie
With Minnie Driver? ZOOLANDER, as J.P. Prewitt, the worlds greatest hand model? And, um, BEETHOVEN, he was in that. Just looking at IMDB, he was in THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE, and the voice of Ethan Cole in the AREA 51 videogame. Um, cool?

Are you sure it wasnt pirate-bikers on new GE Monogram bikes? Because it would totally be like GE to put product placement into your nightmares?

First question you should ask anyone you just meet:

GE killed my family
And ran over my dog. Then set flames to the corpse and threw fireworks on the flaming carcass.

Case in point:

Yep, buzzkill for sure
The fact that they can give away $250,00 on VH 1 to an alleged murderer and sex addict? Where did VH1 get $250,000?

embarrassing histrionics from actors given abstract ideas to inhabit rather than human beings to play.
Isnt this exactly what David Lynch has been doing in his last few films?

What about the horse?
he just looks so ashamed to be part of this:

Is that because they are filled with jelly?

There is not one song on Room on Fire that would fit on Is This It. 12:51 especially, almost from a different band. Maybe they were aping some of their influences, but I did not hear the same band or music on that second album.

I dont like every song on the album, but some are pretty good, plus you have to give credit to Kanye for making such a inaccessible album when everyone else in mainstream rap/R&B/hip hop makes the same song over and over again

I do not agree with your assertion.

What about The Strokes?
From 'Is this It' to 'Room on Fire'.

@Siroucl: Hey, I am all for entertainment. I have read a couple of fiction books that deal with alternate history, and enjoyed them. And I have played Civilization 3, which was fun.

Maybe it is just me
But I find the notion of an alternate history academic the height of pointlessness. What would be the point in a completely serious examination of alternate history? Sure, you could discuss how America would have changed if Hitler and the Axis had won the war, but I don't really get how that would

Yeah I know that look.

Yes, it is.

Micallef - I think he would be a great guy to hang out, obviously smart, funny, and quick witted as well. He has a sort of Steve Martin air to him.

Of course, except for Moritz Volz, that crazy Hasselhoff loving, bicycle riding free agent.
