Or the carriage! No, wait, probably not…

On the other hand, Ian, Jamie, and Rory all show how a male companion can work well.

Just thought of two more: there's also some doubles in the Pertwee-era Auton serials, and Tegan gets multiplied in "Kinda."

Great list! I almost hate to mention it, but you left out the twins from "The Twin Dilemma."

None, really, other than I find both Nessie and the Drashigs kind of funny and endearing at the same time that I recognize they're meant to be scary. (And *were* scary to me as a kid.) It's just one of those "imagine how frightening this monster would be if we had the budget to pull it off" things that are part of

If I wrote up "Carnival of Monsters" directly after "Zygons," we could have two stories in a row where the "giant" monsters are clearly hand puppets.

D'oh. I knew that and forgot. I'll change the reference.

Haven't heard that, but in a deleted scene Jon Pertwee doubles as a radio announcer, so maybe the Doctor went into broadcasting.

Eventually, I hope to review everything, including the rest of "Trial," but it makes sense to start at the beginning of that season.
