Well, there's not a ton of dismemberment, but the opening shot of Hal Jordan does show him dead, lying in a pool of his own blood.

The two primary heroes in that story are still Hal and Sinestro, though. By far.

@avclub-b32768df2cfff3a5ab1a78d093711e2c:disqus  Whenever I see that Moore quote, I think to myself, "Yeah, how DARE DC take an in-continuity, for-hire comic that people liked and base more stories off of it?"

They've already gotten through more than half of ASOS in Season 3, and if Joffrey's wedding gets slotted in this year, most of the major events from the book will already have been covered. I think you could make the case that Feast and Dance start getting covered toward the end of next year.

Yes?

If by "while it's still pretty enjoyable" you mean, "while I don't yet want to beat the ENTIRE cast to death with a hammer," then you have described my thoughts exactly.

@google-f75d9c346a4bb3e15f4a472131a73c62:disqus, I'm not sure that we can ascribe greatness to JMS. Most of his comics work has been pretty dire.

Also, this episode was boring, and it ends with Jeff texting Britta a message when he is not three yards from her.

Was waiting for someone to make this pun.

For real. She was great.

Just watch Basic Human Anatomy and that's it.

Rank Season 4:
1. Basic Human Anatomy

This is coming from someone who's not a big fan of Season 4, but it's hard to argue that Troy and Abed's behavior doesn't register as recognizably human when you Aed an episode in which Abed tried to cut off Jeff's arm with a bone saw.

I stand completely alone in liking the German episode and hating most of the rest of it, apparently.

I don't mean to say that the show is usually nerd-shaming, but it felt that way in this episode. Not only with Oswalt's character, but with Ben. When he tries to explain Quarth to Ann, she dismisses him out of hand.

I agree about the first episode, but in addition to your reasons, I didn't like that it was yet ANOTHER ham-fistedly handled ripped from the headlines topic and that it seemed to be nerd-shaming Oswalt's character. The reviewer is wrong that the episode accepted him; Leslie made fun of him for liking the X-men, and at

I disagree that this was the worst episode ever, but it's all marginal now. Barring a couple of episodes this year (which ones depend on who you ask), virtually all season 4 episodes could fill that role.

This was pretty bland, but puppet Chang reacting to yet another puppet was a good bit.

I'm not cool with DC yanking its creators around, but Action 19 was bland to bad.

Sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we don't actually see the battle in the book, right? We get the three horns (adapted on the show into the last shot of season 2), and then we cut to Sam being miserable after the battle about 100-odd pages in. The battle is only explained
