Ben Gibbard didn't really have much "mouse time" (what) anyway, I would think, given that the album's instrumental bed was the brainchild of Tamborello. He was the voice/lyrics and probably some of the written melody, but he had nothing to do with the rest of the sound.

Out of everything he's done, by far my favorite is his narration for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. He's the entire reason a very good chunk of the film works.

The actual best news about Star Wars I could possibly imagine. Everything Star Wars-related that's been good in the past ten, maybe twenty (maybe even thirty) years has been made with little or no input from Lucas.
