And yet Baz Lurrman assures them it will cost twice as much.

Now, stand back while I make this Sense8 disappear!
Internets don't have keys.
Certainly better than 1577 - 1617, that's for sure.
What that week looks like now will shock you
This is one of two references to Tracy Bonham I've seen in the last ten years.
Don't forget Dennis Miller.
Fun fact: Fountains Of Wayne also performed the theme song to "Crank Yankers."
I've heard him do it!
Wow, didn't know that. It makes the choice to hire Sam Smith for Spedtre's theme even more baffling, since A) it is truly awful and B) his only hit otherwise is the one he was found to have stolen from Tom Petty.
The Verve and The Verve pipe were two separate bands from the same time.
That's The Verve, not The Verve Pipe.
"Take On Me" is a case where its status as a one-hit wonder takes a backseat to just how influential it is. It's easily one of the three or four most recognizable songs of the 1980s, and it doesn't even sound dated in any way. And that's not counting how groundbreaking it's music video was.
Its use on Last Man On Earth is so perfect that it drives me crazy (woo, woo).
I think they were the only group to record a cover of "Lady Marmalade" prior to Moulin Rouge, when it was still a somewhat obscure disco relic.
…The band, or the turtles?
I always found it funny how years after "In The Meantime" was a monster hit followed by nothing else recognizeable from Spacehog, The Darkness put out "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" which basically stole Spacehog's entire faux-return of glam act, with exactly the same results.
"Assholes."
Blur and Ben Folds aren't that esoteric though (and Who's The Boss isn't a food).
I never stone alone.
