The man showed genuine disappointment when Dee reminded him they weren't going to kill the Waitress after stalking her, and that was several seasons ago. After some of the psychopathic shit he has said and done, manipulating people to set themselves on fire doesn't seem like much of a leap.

there's a city that still brings back some bittersweet memories of my ex whenever I visit, because we used to hang out there a lot when we dated. usually I'm with friends whenever I go now so it's enough to distract me and keep my mind from wandering, but it still puts me in a strange mood.

"I hate fun"
that's all I read, sorry bud

This also reminds me of the urban legends about the woman being murdered next to the studio when "Love Rollercoaster" was recorded. I first heard about that when I was a kid and the RHCP cover was everywhere, and it freaked the shit out of me even though it was in the original and not the version I was listening to.

This honestly might be my favorite Hatesong, just because my inner child relates so much to being scared of the stupidest things. As you get older, obviously you can laugh it off, but there's something about being a naive kid with an overactive imagination that causes you to find the scariest side of completely

Eh, this episode really fizzled out at the end. What should have been darkly hilarious (Dennis actually manipulating someone into setting himself on fire - one step closer to him outright killing some one) was just a jumbled mess, with a callback to the turtle thing that wasn't even particularly funny in the first

I take it your friend married their sibling

oh shit, I must have somehow stumbled onto CMT's website, my bad

so do I, especially the theme music. I don't quite know how to explain it but it has such a laid back vibe that puts a smile on my face every time, but also lets me know I'm in for a great hour of television.

holy shit, Blues Sisters is something I could totally get behind

what's the point of recycling the same fucking "Best Guitarists" lists and keeping the same guitarists that have been on them for the last 40 years? They've gotta throw some new blood in there once in a while. Whether Marissa is genuinely one of the best guitarists out there right now is debatable (she's probably not,

probably, I hate baseball.

I've gotta say, the pathos in the Christmas episode was pretty fitting within the show. I don't know if I want the show to end on that sort of note, but if they aren't going to go out with a ridiculously over-the-top bang, they might as well focus on whatever sort of empathy has kept the gang from killing eachother or

It would have been hilarious if he got stuck in the hole, making it the 3rd time he has tried to kill himself and failed miserably (at least the 3rd time we would have seen on the show)

Everybody casually walking around with blood-covered shirts was perfect, one of the reasons why I love this show so much. And I don't think I've laughed as hard at anything else this season as I did at Mac accidentally choking himself out on the floor.

I think that's coming back in season 11

I have to admit, the breakdown wasn't as explosive or hilarious as I was hoping for, but I guess they subverted expectations by having him cry in the fetal position. This is the first time I remember him crying since Frank made him and Dee dig up their dead mother.

It made me laugh when I was 16, and then I grew up and decided that his specific douchebag schtick really isn't all that funny.

"The joke isn't specific enough"
Sometimes the joke doesn't need to be specific. Sometimes it's funny to see a gangly-armed bird woman slap a buzzer so hard that it breaks, because Dee WOULD be the one to fuck it up out of all of them.

I'm pointing out your typo not to be a grammar nazi, but because "vain" instead of "vein" is perhaps the most appropriate freudian slip in a comment about Kanye
