Something Clever

You know, it's easy to make fun of Ryan Seacrest, but watching this and The Voice really illustrates how good he is as host. Steve Jones is such an absolute vacuum of charisma, and Carson Daly was almost hilariously bad on The Voice.

Clearly, the problem was that nobody sang "Falling Slowly". That song makes everything better.

So, religion's for fools, eh? Fools and Liberals!

I honestly cannot fathom not enjoying Craig Ferguson. Now, granted, I don't actually watch the show when it airs, I watch clips later, so I'm not watching the whole thing in one big chunk. Still, to me he's funnier than any other late night talk show, the show is consistently fresh, and there's just no comparison when

I concur. I just started listening to this a couple weeks ago because a commenter mentioned it here, and I'm mowing through their back catalog. It makes me laugh out loud more than any podcast outside of The Bugle. "Gooshing from the Johnsons" and the "Dracula at Quiznos" bits are two of the funniest things I've ever

Not only are they shorter seasons, but seasons 1-3 are on Netflix Instant Watch. There's really no excuse to not watch BB. I just finished catching up on it, and it's absolutely as good as everyone says. You do yourself a disservice to ignore it.

I watched Bones through I think the 5th season, mostly cause I really like the leads. Honestly though, the show took a precipitous drop once they wrote Zack out.

I can't be the only one that can't stand Stacy, right? The woman has no concept of the word "restraint", she just gets up there and screams her heart out. "Oh boy, did she sing those notes!" is right. There's absolutely no artistry there, she's just belting everything out at maximum volume. Ugh.

Yeah, Simmons said they've been looking for a chance to do this for a while, but it would be weird to do a HST podcast just out of nowhere. Like Thom said, barely any mention of the movie. I actually thought this was one of the better BS Reports in a while, I really enjoyed it.

Yeah, this is my least favorite scene of the entire series for that reason, it just doesn't ring true at all to these characters. I can absolutely buy the Potentials and Anya turning on Buffy, that makes sense. For Willow, Giles, Xander and Dawn to go along with it is outrageous. They're sitting there on the eve of

I'll agree that large amounts of Contemporary Christian music is terrible (of course, isn't everyone always making that same argument about pop music? Maybe the moral of the story is that terrible music sells, regardless of your religious preference). I love me some Switchfoot and Needtobreathe though

I would like to say a sincere thank you for informing me of the existence of My Brother, My Brother, and Me. I decided to check it out this weekend after seeing this post, and I'm pretty sure I'm addicted now. Definitely one of the funniest podcasts I've ever heard.

Tim Allen in Galaxy Quest is the ultimate answer to this question. He is somehow, inexplicably, perfect for that role.

That "Mommy?" in the opener is just brutal. Ditto with "We're not supposed to move the body!"

First they came for the aliens,

Yeah, it definitely wasn't the strongest ep, but God damn do I love it when Jeselnik is on DLM. I'm not a huge fan of him normally, but DLM is really the perfect format for him to just sit back and drop one-liners and insults.

I LITERALLY could not believe it when I checked here, and an episode featuring Adam Scott crying in a Batman suit got a B-.

I knew Mandy Patinkin was in this, but I haven't ever seen him in anything other than "The Princess Bride". It took me a about halfway through the episode to realize who he was, at which point my mind went "holy shit, that's Inigo Montoya?"

I cannot understand this sentiment at all. Who doesn't like Dr. Cox? I think my world just got a little darker knowing that there are people out there who don't like Dr. Cox.

Yeah, I've got to echo everyone else here. On the whole, I like Buffy more than Angel, and I'm a huge Firefly fan, but Season 5 of Angel is the best single season that Whedon has ever done. It's remarkably consistent, and just full of greatness.
