Something Clever

I read a ton of the Star Wars EU books as a kid. Some are good, lots are crap. The Zahn books are the only ones that I'd say are really great, and they're the only ones I've gone back and revisited. For a while, I fantasized about the Heir To The Empire trilogy being made as movies (really, I just wanted to see

I like this show a lot more than any of the other reality singing competitions out there. The music is better, the judges are better, and there's just something about the show that feels a little lighter and takes itself less seriously than other reality shows.

"You remember the first time you drove a car?"

Haley is my pick
so, naturally, she'll probably be gone next week

I'm a sucker for singing contests
I love a good cover sing, so I have a soft spot for singing competitions, even if they're ridiculously drawn out.

Enough people voted for Kurt to be named Prom Queen. That's a large portion of the crowd that was mocking him, even if they didn't do it to his face. That was the whole point.

Wouldn't it be nice if you didn't have to apologize for this show?
"though how would Santana have performed if she had… fuck it, just fuck it."

Jacob…Yikes
That first performance by Jacob was just…ugh. The second one started of really well, but then really went off the rails. I had to go back and rewatch his performance of "A House is Not a Home" from earlier, which I've felt was one of the standout performances of the year. Was it as good as I remembered, or

I will readily admit that is a much more technically sound version. It is probably better in many, many ways that people who know more about music and singing than I do could point out to me. I don't particularly care though, because I still enjoyed the Santana version just as much. Maybe it's because I can't divorce

Great Review
Honestly, I haven't liked a lot of the mixed up reviews this week, but this one was really excellent (and had a lot to live up to, cause Todd always does a great job). You really summed up a the show's problems well, while still pointing out some of the things that make the show such an interesting

Just caught this on Hulu. Despite some bumps, there were some good artists and I kinda like the concept. Carson Daly though…wow. I mean, that man is a black hole of charisma if ever there was one. I mean, he looks unbelievably awkward every time he's on camera. How is that even possible? It's his only job! All he has

I actually really like Lea Michele, and she's a terrific singer, but Rivera and Salling are definitely better. Rivera makes a fantastic villain/bitch, nails the delivery on her jokes, and has proved in the last 5-6 episodes that she can carry the dramatic stuff as well. Salling is by far the most charismatic actor on

Very, very liberal grade
Honestly, I hated this episode with a passion. So, so many problems.

The Britney episode was bad, but it was a more understandable kind of bad. They wanted to do a theme week, they just didn't bother coming up with any way to tie it all together. That episode didn't make me lose hope in the show, it just felt like they'd lost their way a bit.

Solid, not spectacular
Do people really think that Haley should be going home before Stefano? Seriously? Maybe she was bad tonight, but Stefano has not ever been good. I've been waiting for him to go since week 1. I admit to being a bit more of a Haley fan than most, but does anyone like Stefano? Anyone?

F-
The worst episode of the series. Even Stephen Toblowsky parading around in a pink superhero costume and delivering the line "You're hunky and I'm what they call predatory gay" could not save this (which is saying something, because that is a great line).

I mean, it's mostly going to come down to a preference thing. The only moments you mentioned that I instantly recalled were Fear Itself, Spike's performance problems in The Initiative, and Hush. Some of those were nice and funny, but nothing on that list comes close to "Every night I save you", "I'd like to test that

Season 6
I'm an unapologetic defender of season 6. I understand all the criticism, and I totally get why some people dislike it, but I love it. The thing that stands out is just how many great moments there are. As many lows as the season might have, It has more individual moments that I love than any other. I

Just wasn't very funny
I actually liked a lot of things about this episode. There were a lot of ways things could have gone badly with Ferrell's character entering the fold, and they mostly avoided those. A lot of the character beats felt true and unforced (except for Darryl's cowboy outfit, that crossed the line of

Ugh
"even though Jennifer said she was reluctant to criticize [anyone] since she wants them to stay in the competition. "
