Yeah, I also bailed after the first episode. If the show's craziness isn't going to be anchored in anything then it had better be really, really funny, and it just seemed kind of loud and dumb to me. Being really juvenile with a wink is still being really juvenile.

They really went all-out on the little details, didn't they. It makes the whole mover sequence that much more impressive and hilarious, but it also makes the anachronistic sound that much more frustrating to me, because I'm a pedantic little shit.

I think a big part of why these episodes worked so well is that for once instead of rushing headlong from plot point to plot point the show actually slowed down and gave the story some breathing room.

I know! Thankfully this episode was chock-full of blinking.
