I came across the "Word Crimes" video the other day (love it) and wound up doing the same thing. It was fun.

Agreed. Anytime I happen to catch an interview with him I'm just like, "I want to hang out with you for a day."

You and me both.

That "Sleepy Hollow" finale kicked ass. I've loved going on TV sites and seeing spoilers for the upcoming second season…I'm ridiculously excited for that show to come back. And I cannot wait for the first season DVD to be released, either!

Good point about the portrayal of the elderly in television and film. Indeed, so often nowadays they're used solely for humor or they're mocked. I'm all for quirky, feisty, fun older people showing up in films and shows, of course, because I totally understand the desire to not want to be portrayed as weak, helpless,

No, I haven't-I saw that movie as an adult and while there's a few people I know who have kids, nobody's asked me to babysit in years. But indeed, given how I'd reacted during that babysitting job just having heard about that portion of the story, if I'd been brave enough to do any more babysitting after seeing it, I

Ohhhhhhhh, yeah. That whole scene is just…ugh. And it doesn't just end at the phone calls-when she runs to the front door to escape and looks up towards the stairs quickly, only to see the bedroom door open…oh, my freaking god

I need to start writing some of these movies down…wanting to see a lot of 'em.

Ooh. Yeah, let's hope that streak continues! I know I'd certainly be freaked out by a random call like that in the middle of the night.

Ick. Not cool at all. That would've driven me bonkers, too.

Excellent point.

I've liked Zack's reviews from what I've read so far, so yeah, I'm all for letting him guide us through the remainder of the series. I'm just happy to have these still going and being able to discuss them.

Oh, god, yes. I think it's generally just a wise decision to take your phone off the hook before, during, and for a certain length of time, after, a horror movie or show. Just in case.

Late night calls are never, ever a good sign. Maybe if a loved one went into labor in the middle of the night and delivered a baby…but that'd be about the only thing I could think of, and even then, I think most people would be smart enough to wait until daylight to break that news.

I can see the "Thriller" thing, yeah.

Not Jason's panther rape, or the interminable business with Eggs, or Terry and the fire monster, or Bill twisting Lorena's head around and banging her into the bedpost

I don't know if it's the fact that I'm reading this at close to 6:30 in the morning or what, but that eulogy idea made me laugh really, really hard.

I've been there many times. I think we all have.

Damn. There's a flashback for ya.

I haven't even seen this show/episode and yet I don't care, I love this and want more.
