Seriously?
Seriously?
This is an excellent (and frustrating) point.
Speaking for myself, I haven't seen much of her work, so I can't comment on her talent abilities in and of themselves. I'm just looking at this from the perspective that I always find it sad when young people go down this route time and time again-I'd feel this way no matter who we were talking about here. You would…
I actually think a bit of that would help, too. Sometimes you really have to yank someone out of their little bubble world for them to finally get it.
That whole attitude pisses me the hell off, it really does. I just keep wanting to ask them where the fuck their sympathy was when these people were obviously in dire straits? No, instead they took their paparazzi photos and laughed at them instead. Disgusting.
Sadly, I think you're right. Here's hoping somebody sane will come along regardless, though.
That's really depressing. Doesn't surprise me, though, given what I understand about California politics being what they are.
I'll back you up on this. I should pull that book out and read it again.
Betty White has to make an appearance somewhere, too.
I know! I seriously hope they don't dismantle him after the show's over-I want Geoff to live on!
This is very true. Good point.
(And if the person who happens to get that joke is a single man, then I will know I've found my future husband :).)
Agreed. He and Stephen are going out on a good note, and their shows' legacies will be strong and looked back on fondly. Not often you hear about that happening on TV.
Oh, you will have FUN poking around at past clips on YouTube. So much awesome stuff from his show to find on there.
Really hope that happens next week-that'll be fun to watch.
I was really loving Vera and Freddie tonight. I felt for both of them-loved Norma just breaking down inside her house and letting out that high-pitched noise after finding out about Miss Watson, and was cheering Norman on when he tried to run away once he'd been let out of the box (the writers, and Freddie, really are…
I'm all for Romero getting more involved with the Bates family. In every way possible.
When Norma was ranting about people like him sleepwalking through life and drinking their cocktails and judging those with real problems, all I kept thinking was, "Preach, Norma."
Seriously. I mean, on the one hand, it seems fitting that he gained something of a cult following, but on the other hand, he should've gotten way more attention than he did.
I've said it before, but I always liked it when he'd get a celebrity guest talking about random shit, and then the interview's over and the guest realizes, with a bit of horror, that they hadn't discussed the movie/book/show they were supposed to promote at all the entire time.
I really liked the way he explained his decision tonight on his show. Especially with his little shots at the media who are no doubt going to try and spin this into some sort of conspiracy or "war" or other BS like that. He just wants to move on, and sad as I am to see him go, I can definitely respect his reasons for…
