Indeed, that is a definite plus to the original. Plus, keeping the fancy (or attempts at fancy) effects to a minimum meant they could focus more on the stories themselves. The stories may have been fantastical in many ways, but the real topics discussed were what helped make them intriguing and creepy. The whole,

I fully support this idea. Get a chance to cover all the bases.

I hated the Jessica Simpson one. Again, intriguing idea ('cause dolls can be very creepy, as can a child's intense imagination and clinginess), but bad execution.

How about her despairing, "Norman…" as she got in her car to drive home after she freaked out on George? There was definitely more than just motherly longing in her voice at that moment.

Exactly. These other people he's dealing with make no bones about the crap they're doing. But Norman's one of those people where you know something is off about them, but you're just not quite sure what that something is at first. That suspicion will never not be creepy.

Thanks! I kinda tend to like it when film from a show or movie is really showing its age. Makes me feel more sucked into whatever time period it's from or something.

I remember watching that one when it originally aired, and I liked it at the time.

I will definitely need to prepare for that one. The debates over some of the episode picks in particular will be interesting.

I need to see this show. I've heard so many good things about it, but somehow I missed out on seeing it when I was little (or if I did see it, I must've been too young to remember).

Yes! Good picks, those two. I particularly liked the one with everyone speaking gibberish.

*Angrily shakes her cane in frustration*

Ooh, "Road Less Traveled". Good call.

I can't argue with you on the black and white versus color thing. Though I will say that the color did add its own surreal dreamlike look to some of the stories. Especially when you watch the episodes now, with the film looking as old as it does.

That'd be great! I know they talked about winding TV Club Classic down in the next year or two, but still…

I was hoping "The Burning Man" would be in here-that may well be my favorite episode of this remake. The ending to that one is so freaking unsettling. Same with "Toys of Caliban". I remember feeling genuinely heartbroken when I saw that episode for the first time. Particularly liked "The Call" and "Button Button", too.

When she held his face in her hands, I seriously wondered if they'd kiss for a moment.

That may well be it, yeah! The song sounded familiar and I was blanking on the name. Thanks.

I'm gonna need to see this movie at some point as well, it seems.

I was thinking the same thing during that confrontation on the stairs. Very well staged and acted by both of them. I felt bad for Norma.

I do remember my sister and I trying to imitate Norbert's voice in particular every now and again. Don't think we quite hit the mark, but hey…
