What are hockey pants?

Phantasm came out post-Returns and pre-Forever…

It is my least favorite of the three. But I still like it a lot.

It was also kind of weird, in light of the fact that main character's name is Lyndon. Too many Lyndons.

Thanks, Jason Katims
My wife and I got together while performing the two parts of a one-act play of his in college. As a result, we always say, "Hey - Jason Katims!" whenever we see his name on stuff. So, yay for this guy.

+1 for buying the Great Expectations soundtrack in high school and still listening to it now…

I love Norm but that list is some bullshit. There are four "original" comedians/entertainers, and Howard fucking Stern is one of them?

I was taken aback by how cliched the characters and dialogue were in the first episode, but I thought things improved considerably in the second. The first was so heavy-handed in its exposition, archetypes, and score that I was a bit disappointed, but I guess all that's pretty normal for a pilot. All of that got

Hop IS offensive. It is an affront to all that is Good.

It's at 13% (among Top Critics) on Rotten Tomatoes. I thought Natalie Portman looking like that and McBride riffing would warrant at least a spot on my Netflix queue, but I'm not even sure about that now.

I have a soft spot for "Dave," but the kind of movie-simplifying it displays always makes me cringe. If the White House simply read through the budget and did some long division, the thing would balance itself in an hour or so!

no comedy please

Yes, I'm not sure what Ted Nugent's brother is talking about. I'm pretty sure that Black Swan has been treated respectfully, what with all the critical praise/box office success/awards. Where are all these Black Swan-related jokes that I'm missing?

I'm confused about the stray observation on Tracy in Africa. We have definitely known the whole time that he wasn't actually in Africa.

Is it just me?
Does anyone else find the name "Oracle" to sound like the kind of corporation one might see it a dystopian sci-fi movie? The CEO also totally looks the part of the guy you'd see running the company in such a movie.

I love angry guys who rip their shirt off to fight. Is it so that they don't get blood on their Ed Hardys?

Eh, I think it has more to do with the script. Reubens co-wrote "Big Adventure" with Phil Hartman and Michael Varhol; he wrote "Big Top Pee-Wee" alone, with some help with one of the "Playhouse" TV writers.

we we we so excited

Meme situation
"But you will blow me first" and "Duh! Winning" - meet your new friend: "It was a download situation."

Wait…you've seen the Spongebob Squarepants movie, but not the Pee-Wee movie? "What's missing from this picture?"
