At the top of the stairs is the bar The Tombs, for which a scene of the movie was also used (and served as the basis for the bar in the Georgetown-set "St. Elmo's Fire").

In my defense, I was trying to use "Get on it, O'Neal" tongue-in-cheek, because people always say that here. But I'm glad you Got On It.

This is unrelated
But it is time for AV Club's collective heads (plural) to explode:

Goosebumps was awesome - I'm just saying I got wise to the conceit after a while, even as a kid.

"I liked the twist at the end with Holder." I might agree, except for that fact that WE KNOW Holder's going to be revealed as innocent next episode. The show has done this fake-out with every opportunity; why would it stop now?

Another TV trope pet peeve of mine that this show is constantly guilty of: Saying someone's name repeatedly during a phone conversation (i.e., "Hi, Juan. Juan, are you serious? You know how important this is, Juan. Alright. Thanks, Juan."). Fuck that.

Istanbul
To be fair, TMBG's Istanbul is a cover of an original song by The Four Lads.

No one likes Rolling Stone.

No boob job in the Swedish films…

I enjoyed the first (Swedish) movie enough to try and read the trilogy, but found even the first book too boring to continue. By the time I'd seen the other two films, I lost interest in reading them.

Do you guys know what teaser trailers are? They're not actually regular trailers for the movie. The idea is to have short previews that generate interest in the movie without giving much away.

Also, "Fight the Power" at the beginning of Do the Right Thing is pretty awesome.

Gollum?

@zebbart: Don't they have (a version of) that already? You could definitely connect with friends' accounts and share queues at one point.

I sometimes feel guilty/overwhelemed at my queue, because I just pretty much just put in any movie I want to see ever. Inlcuding the 36 entries I have in my "saved" section, there are currently 428 movies in my queue.

I don't quite find him insufferable, but WTF is definitely one of the shows where I'm listening much more for the guest than the host.

I thought the mo-cap stuff might be forgivable on this one, since I figured the point of using it was that it would look cartoony, in the style of the comics. It seems kind of silly to use motion capture if they're actually trying to make the characters look real.

I don't give a flying fuck though

I would definitely go with the DC date…Rock & Roll Hotel is tiny.
