The first Matrix wasn't based on a comic.
The first Matrix wasn't based on a comic.
As a 6-year-old, I made a comic about the son of Bob (Joker's henchman) seeking revenge on the Joker for killing his dad.
@john89: We'll have to agree to disagree (as Leonard was saying, part of what makes the character/mythology great is people like different aspects of different interpretations).
I'm a defender of Burton's original "Batman" (I vividly remember being thrilled by it on the day it came out in theaters, as well, Eddie - even if I was 6), and grew up on it.
Leonard, that's a great point about people pulling from different interpretations to form their definitive version of a character. There are aspects of Nicholson's, Hamill's, Ledger's, and Grant Morrison's (& others') takes on The Joker that I love, but I'm not sure that any of them completely nail what I see as the…
Whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it's a future MYOF entry.
Not to mention MR. MAGORIUM'S WONDER EMPORIUM

Yeah, does this mean no Lizard? Or, is it in addition to the Lizard?
Everything about this sounded terrible, and continues to sound terrible - mercifully, that insane cast won't actually assemble. (How could it have, though, really?) When I hear about this, I think, "Why?"
Excited to see this
Music Box, here I come.
Yeah, even in the still posted above, the images look more fluidly "cartoony" than the series got after that. That segment blew my mind as a kid, and it still does today.
That sounds pretty great, rjbennett. Are you envisioning an animated or live action series?
Also, yes, when the show started airing, it was on Sunday nights. I remember being so excited for that first episode to air as a kid, and being pumped that it was Man-Bat. I still think he's a cool character that can work well in certain incarnations - and this was one of them, for me.

Yeah, I think "Phantasm" beats "Batman Returns," at least, pretty easily. (I also saw it in a next-to-empty theater).
Right on, Brass. I also watched a lot of Homestar my freshman year. Haven't done that in a while…
Yeah, I know it wasn't a hit, but I thought it'd at least end up on the album.
I remember, as a kid, losing some interest when they started calling it "The Adventures of Batman and Robin," and by the time it became "The New Adventures of Batman," I tuned out. (Like Goodness Knows said, there's still some good stuff there, but it's not really the same show as BTAS.)
