No, I think that they have said that Ba Sing Se is the capitol of the Earth Kingdom. Also, when Ba Sing Se falls, the Earth King states that the Earth Kingdom has finally fallen. Although, that may have been because it was the last "free" city.

Which reflects the order of the Avatar cycle…

Some Spoilers
I too thought that Bumi was the head of state for the Earth Kingdom the first time I saw this episode. After the introduction of the Earth Kingdom, I theorized that "king" is the equivalent of governor or mayor.
Analogy
Every now and then, much more so early in the show's run, the writers would do something that made me wince. In Imprisoned, this took the form of the worst analogy I have ever heard, when Katara was trying to reason with Haru's mom. "Asking him not to earthbend is like asking me not to waterbend!" For a…
This episode made me realize that I would love Lauren Ambrose as Claire, even if I didn't enjoy her character (which, at the beginning of the run, I didn't). She can sing like no one's business! See also: Michael C. Hall.
I'm pretty sure that same girl shows up again in the Charlotte Light and Dark flashbacks.
I think you should start from the Eccleston series, but be warned: it starts out REALLY cheesy. The first series has some great episodes, but it doesn't become amazing until Tennant shows up.
She sacrificed herself to save The Doctor (10) in Forest of the Dead.
That president's name was GOB.
Especially if it was called The Tawdry Life of Loretta King
I wouldn't go so far as saying he ever achieved depth, but the scene with his father in Season 3 was pretty great.
That episode proves that Alexis Denisof should be a very popular, well-paid actor. After seeing the darkest in him, he completely turns around and goes back to poncey Wes.
Well, Veronica wasn't supposed to be as likeable a character in the flashbacks as she is in the present. She is an underachiever who spends time with Logan Echolls and Dick Casablancas.
I would watch a legal drama featuring Cliff.
Yo ass better PRAY I don't look that word up!
Right, I figured. I was just making the obligatory "Season 5 is awesome; I want all these reviews NOW!" post.
Duncan
A lot of fans (most of them, based on what I've seen on the interwebs) strongly dislike Duncan. But I always liked his character, and Meet John Smith is crucial as to why. The subtle sadness of his home life affected me and gave him depth.
Hiatus
I understand the need to take breaks every now and then. But when you see the end of Season 4, you'll want to start 5 right away.
The Weakest Link
Was never good until Anne Robinson was replaced with a homicidal android. Named Anne Droid.
The post-Super Bowl episode requires knowing what was going on in the show's universe, as it is a pivotal episode for the series. It is (properly) seen as one of the best, but context is extremely important.
